Children were at play, and faking a cooking session before one of them went ahead to get kerosene.

Even in these NON-Nigerian countries you probably reside in currently, children do things they aren't suppose to do.
E.G. On the 3rd of March, 2023, in Houston, a 3 year old shot her 4 year old brother dead. A tragic incident in an abroad country.

Mistakes happen. That is even in the subject of the post.

I hope the amnesia you have developed, hasn't affected the knowledge you have about Nigerian societies, communities, and rural household not having access to gas? We also do not have (YET) a law mandating the use of jerrycans with safety spill/pour designs.

And did you really type a sentence calling for the restriction of "access to FIREWOOD!!!" in a country like Nigeria? Do you want people to starve to death?

I thought worldwide it was like taboo to have little children having anything to do with fire.... and keeping flammable stuff like kerosene and petrol.... and poisons out of the reach of children. The parents should be held responsible.
