I will be very surprised if Labour Party wins any governorship election. Even the Enugu State, PDP may win.

25th of February was all about all about Peter Obi. Labour Party is a dead party

They will win Abia

Same here mahn. I just didn't like the plot and how the story was developed. Grew tired somewhere around season 3.

It even made me skeptical of the general quality of British TV series but Top Boy has convinced me otherwise.

That was one show I tried so hard to like due to the hype around it. I kept watching and watching hoping it will get better like breaking bad.

Eventually, I had to throw in the towel. It just wasn't for me.

I've been looking forward to this amendment for years. We are ready for it. My state of origin at least.

-Ibom Power Company: https://www.ibompower.com

- 190 MW already being generated and transmitted to my own LGA at least and the rest fed into the national grid. An extra 500MW capacity added a year ago: https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2022/01/25/ibom-power-targets-generation-increase-with-new-500mw-plant/

- 732 MW upgrade: https://guardian.ng/news/akwa-ibom-adp-sign-732mw-agreement-on-ibom-power-plant/

These are my main concerns.

Others should hold their leaders at the state level accountable too instead of focusing only on the Presidency.
Hope your state Governor will prioritise Industrial areas in the distribution of power?

Na people wey really need light be that oh.

Without massive rigging, apc and pdp will lose some states. Rivers state for example, if the election is free and fair without violence, there's no way Sim would win. There seems to be voter apathy in the state though, people are scared of going out because they believe wike would unleash mayhem today.

There are already videos of voters intimidation in Ajegunle , Oshodi Isolo, Alimosho , Sangotedo , Ibeju Lekki , Sabo Oniba in Ojo( I’m not surpried , the current king is a thug who was leading the motorcycle riders unions before he became king ) and Ojodu Berger . One thing all they are saying is ; If u are not voting APC , don’t come out .
What these elections are showing is that this our democracy is a charade.

What Nigerians need to understand is that parties that rig their way to power do not owe you anything when they get there.

Nigeria need to sit down and ask itself if they want to do democracy or we do something like China and Russia are doing so taxpayers money can stop getting wasted

The voter turnout across board in major cities is extremely low. This will enable enough cooking of results in rural areas.

The presidential election was difficult to rig because people came out in their numbers. With voter apathy, people have just played right into the hands of established political parties. Na why I say Labour Party is dead. The machinery to influence the election for their candidates is not there.

I knew LP is not going anywhere the moment I saw their numbers of seats in the National Assembly.

Less than 8% seats in the senate
Less than 10% seats in the House of Representatives.

What that means is they can't even block any legislative action because they lack the necessary numbers.

Anyway, if they can win 4 or 5 state Government seats, it will be a great boost for the movement because the state Governors political strength will be necessary to fortify the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Check out Top Boy. You will love it despite the accent.

It's like the British version of The Wire though a bit lower in quality.

I have always maintained that Labour Party and the PDP have to collapse into one party and present PO to stand any realistic chance in 2027.

Abia, Enugu, Delta, Rivers, Plateau, Lagos.

LP should actually win atleast 2 of these states at the very minimum. Shame Edo is not having its Governorship election this year. That's another sure state.

now, if we had working rail or roads that were in a condition where a road trip dropped from 4 days to 1 day - cost of delivery of materials would drop

if we took a loan that sorted out power issues, the operating costs of FMCG would drop. right now they a have diesel or gas generators that they operate and maintain - and this cost transfers to customers

a working environment for business requires infrastructure. a 30minute commute is good for business. reliable electricity is good for business

one of the causes of crime is unemployment. unemployment occurs because businesses shut down because of high operating costs.

but the most important thing you have missed - all those businesses out there run on debt in one form or another. there are very few businesses that are self funding.
You are right but you have not made any point regarding the crux of the matter.

You have mentioned why building roads and rails are important and useful but that's not the issue. The issue is borrowing being considered an achievement .

Borrowing is not bad but should it be considered an achievement?

Having a car is good. But if you borrowed to buy it, then don't consider it an achievement until you have paid the debt. If your child has to pay the debt, then it is his achievement not yours.

Buhari borrowed to build roads and rails. It is not an achievement for him. It will be the achievement of the future president that will pay the loan.

How will all these bold happen without the needed infrastructure?
To beat inflation we need to produce, How do you create an environment for business growth when one lane connects Asaba to Onitsha? and you spend 4hrs crossing a 4km road?
How does Naira drop when local production is not boosted? And how will local produce reach the market when we are still plying Benin Ore road with wells in the middle f the road

How will life be secure when opportunities for business to grow are not there? How will life be secure when a farmer who invested so much have all his produce rotten because of bad road before he gets to the market. How will that farmer not turn to crime

You think development and all you listed just happen because a govt prays or what? Without certain infrastructures all you listed cannot happen

If we have done 2nd Niger bridge in 1990 instead of 2019, think of all the opportunities lost, or Lagos Ibanda rail way since 1999
You have only discussed the benefit of having the infrastructure. That's a deviation from the point. The point is that if he had to borrow for it, then it should not be considered an achievement.

If Dayo can identify those benefits then we don't need Buhari. Buhari should not list borrowing as an achievement.
