Makinde Wins Polling Unit, Wins In Adelabu’s Polling Unit by slimanyd: 4:28pm On Mar 18, 2023
Governor Seyi Makinde, the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state has won his polling unit.

Makinde voted at Ward 11, Unit 01, Abayomi Iwo-Road in Ibadan North East Local Council.

He has 174 votes while the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 28, Accord Party scored 5, Labour Party scored 3 votes.
Four votes were voided.

For the House Of Assembly poll, the PDP scored 160 votes, APC scored 30, Accord 9 and the Labour Party (LP), scored 5 votes.
Nine votes were voided.

In a related development, Makinde was announced winner of the polling unit of candidate of Accord Party, Bayo Adelabu.
Makinde of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 60 to defeat Adelabu of Accord, who scored 38 and Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 22 votes.
Adelabu cast his vote at polling unit 10, Ward 9 in Ibadan South East Local Government area of the state

The total registered voters is 472, while accredited is 138.

I also want Makinde to win.

Even tho I have my reservation with regards to how he’s governing using propaganda of performance, but I believe he is a better alternative than the other candidates.

Oyo state need a governor that can think outside the box of paying salary alone as the yardstick for success. We need to open up the Oke Ogun axis and etc and utilize the agricultural potential in those places. Just sad that we are left with Makinde & Teslim.

I want Makinde to win. His pedigree is better than others for example. I want him to decamp to APC after all that. It will be mutual benefit.

We have said it. Oyo is for Makinde, Lagos is for Sanwo-Olu, Rivers is for Sim, Benue is for Hyacinth.

Meanwhile, 95% of LP agents in Lagos are igbos. How come?

Most makinde's achievements are over stated. Using propaganda to hype nothing.
He absolutely undercachieved but the alternative (teslim) no be am at all.

So he should continue jeje.

Let's hope apc won't make mistake of presenting teslim again in 2027.

hyping up paying salary and street light as major achievement when his predecessor was busy dualizing roads, building fly overs and crushing insecurities.

Teslim is a no no for Oyo citizens, if it's Adelabu that APC present. It would have been a close contest but Makinde would win
