It appeared Wike continued where he stopped last time. I'm watching AriseTv now and party agents are making damning allegations against him and the PDP's candidate. The SDP agent at the collation center alleged none of the results announced at the collation center matches what is on IREV portal. He even mentioned a particular local government (Emouha or so; I don't know if I got the spelling well) where there was serious shootings yesterday for hours between youths and security agents for bringing wrong sensitive materials . The result of the LGA has also been announced and they do not believe it's a true representation of things. itsrm how do u assess things over there? Hope there won't be violence in Rivers after INEC eventually announce the winner ? |

People of a whole "Nigerian" ethnicity are refugeees? Refugees in their own country?! Omooooo. I have seen shocking things this election period. Wait, it is utterances and overt bigotry and subliminal messages like these that we are supposed to just sweep under the carpet and carry on with life as it was, after this election? 2 Likes |

Donjazet2: LP won my unit. They also won massively in other PUs in nSukka lga. There were lots of propaganda from the PDP against Edeoga. The church(catholic & anglican) played a huge role here. All things being equal, LP will win. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If she can pull it off I'll be so happy. Her candidacy isn't some tokenism for women empowerment from what I heard she really pulled her weight in the national assembly did some good things. That 30k gap will be hard to make up sha. OasisX: |

INEC has declared 2 house of assembly seats for LP so far! Say what you will but an 8 month old movement that is permeating the whole Nigerian political space is a huge stride and achievement. Festac and satellite town about to experience quality representation in Lagos assembly. 1 Like

But how did the Igbos interfere in Lagos politics? Lagos is not the only state that LP won during the presidential election. They won nasarawa, plateu & Abuja. These people are not crying that Igbos want to takeover their state/land. The top three gubernatorial candidates in Lagos are both Yorubas. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Very solid points made here. The disenchanted and products of a failed system will always find succor in any alternative. Especially one well equipped in weaponizing emotions with bare facts.

My WhatsApp has not been a very funny place this last few weeks. Many of my friends and colleagues that I had convinced to get their PVCs and vote have been giving me severe negative feedbacks. Nigeria keeps killing the hopes of it's people. Rendering them hopeless. Proving the skeptics and the pessimists right. But I still maintain one fact! Doing something is better than doing nothing. Obidients are like laborers that sought to build a wonderful mansion from scratch. Well, we attained that goal but our house was demolished to just the foundation stage. We are sad but we got something. We will build upon it again. |

KingTom:The position of Chief Justice is too sensitive. Always would be. All Chief Justices and Governors should actually have solid roots in the state. Ikpeme is a full Akwa Ibomite. She wasn't even born in Cross River or her family migrated there. When Akpabio as Akwa Ibom Governor collected all 72 oil wells from Cross River in 2009 leaving them without any oil, Cross River politics being dominated by my people ( the Ibibios) partly and the Efiks was why they couldn't put up a good fight to at least get some. At least put up a strong fight. Even some of us from Akwa Ibom felt Akpabio shouldn't have insisted on taking all from our brothers but it is what it is. You need a Chief Justice with solid roots in the state to fight for that. Would a Russian born and raised in Russia be made Chief Justice in America? Unlikely. Too sensitive. But with Russian roots and born ans raised in America? Likely. But many commissioners from Donald Duke's time to Imoke and the current one were and are from Akwa Ibom. Many Permanent Secretaries in Cross River are from Akwa Ibom too. That nullifies your claims. In Akwa Ibom, many village heads in boundary LGAs like Itu are from Cross River/ have Cross River roots. In the Oro-speaking axis of Akwa Ibom like Oron, Mbo, Okobo, Udung Uko and the likes, Cross Riverians are vying for office and being elected. The Ibibios and Efiks dominate Akwa Ibom and Cross River sociopolitics but the current Governor of Cross River is from Northern Cross River, those considered minorities of minorities to and by us. You want a list of Cross Riverians in SUGs in Akwa Ibom and vice versa, or in state governments? Several. Add what I have explained now with you acknowledging Akwa Ibom or Cross River don't mind Igbos, Yorubas or others taking key positions in our governments and schools, and it completely erodes your claims of tribalism. Plus the dynamics of Cross River is crazy. I'm glad I'm not from there in a way. Ikom LGA alone in Cross River has 17 languages and tribes. Good luck handling that. |

TrebleChamp: Amuwo most times elect the opposition The only problem is that they will eventually decamp. I hope these ones hold the forte. It is difficult to win as an opposition in Lagos. It is also difficult to stay as an opposition when you win too |

You want to tell me you put Igbos in their place, meanwhile you are nothing in this city; Absolutely nothing Yorubas were flogged out of PUs yesterday. That should tell anybody that this is not even a Yoruba thing, but few wicked idiots, trying to usurp power by force using the tribal card. You put me for my place, but nothing nothing reach you.
