For those knowledgeable about mpower loan. Pls pardon my ignorance: I have one stupid question On behalf of my twin sister
* if someone applies for mpower loan for visa purposes and after visa approval she doesn’t use the loan. (She just ghosts them) and she pays her school fees out of pocket.
1) is it doable? 2) is it allowed 3) are there any monetary consequences?

So you need answers too, I guess you should just keep the questions to yourself.

Well Mpower loan only start counting once the payment is disturbed depends on the school payment policy. But any particular amount disbursed has to be paid back and you can also repay everything anytime you want

I advise you to defer its very unlikely you will get your visa before then or if you do it will be rushed and you won't have enough time to prepare

Good morning Buddies

Been worried on how to go about this.
I want to apply for a vocational Course to Canada with my O’level.

I’ve fine tuned my CV to the level of this vocation course so as to apply and be granted admission.
And I hope it won’t affect as I’m in my mid 30s.

Frankly I am a Masters degree holder but I have financial issue and no job too as well.
So I want to apply via vocational route as I’ve read it’s more easy and some agreed on tuition payment on al.

My question now is will it be easy to later tender my BSc. And MSc paradventure I sail thru the whole process and granted visa.

And maybe later I want to switch with my cert in order to secure better job later

Kindly try to re-punctuate.
I’m finding it difficult understanding your concerns.

However from the little I understand as part of your concerns- when you do a new passport (as in a passport renewal) after submitting an application for a SP, it is recommended you send the data page of the new passport in a webform to IRCC.

And there’s no “best time to do a new passport”. If you know your passport is due to expire in the next 6Months to a year, you should renew it. Also, if you require a visa that’ll be longer than the due date of expiration of your passport, you could also think of renewing your passport already.

Your questions are so misleading to say the least. That’s why no one has been responding. Especially question 1.
Are you supposed to have two passports? When you do a new passport, aren’t they suppose to cancel the old passport?

As per question 1 above, and I quote “... nd present new passport at POE??”

Now my own question to you is:

Which passport would you be sending to IRCC for the counterfoil SP?
And
- how do you intend to travel without a study permit evidence on your new passport? Or do you intend to be traveling with two passports

Hello @Welsh2np, pls I will like to confirm if it is advisable to go for a new passport cos of a change of name.
The passport will expire in 8+ years' time but just to be on the safe side.

You can use a third-party sponsor, but the onus is on you to convince the vo why the person wants to sponsor you. Bank statements from the person should also be backed by evidence of commitment from the person. Commitment could be in the form of tuition payment, funds transfer to your account, prior financial support, or being present during an important event.

Thank you

Hello House,
Abeg I need una help oooo. Someone very experienced should reply to this concern please. This is for a friend but I guess we can learn from it. He said his elder sister who she’s married sent 5million naria to his account as POF for living expenses. The sister works in a bank and she only earns 80k monthly. She currently has 2 kids, him and his sister don’t bear the same surname anymore since she’s married to another man. So when she sent the money it was the surname of her husband that reflected in his account. He said he wants to claim he sold a property to Mrs Afonja olayemi but her sister’s surname was Adefola Olayemi so he wouldn’t declare Mrs Afonja Olayemi as his sister instead a client who bought the property from him and then transferred the lump sum to his account and that’s the reason behind the lump sum. Is this a good idea?.
Consider that while filling imm form siblings info was included. I’m not saying it wouldn’t fly. But let’s just hope it becomes an oversight or the vo thinks it’s just a common name

Anyone resuming in St Lawrence college in kingston, ontario in may? i'm in need of a roommate and is there any whatsapp/telegram community for international students that i can join for important informations. anyone with useful information will be appreciated
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tommytee007: 12:19pm On Mar 20, 2023
apply for your visa first, if your visa is not ready before the resumption date send an email to your school to explain then they'll advice you to defer but they'll probably ask for proof of visa application before they can defer
