My criticism is Earnings per share can be influenced by share outstanding. A company without income might use debt to buy back share thereby giving us a false increase in earning per share.. or a company with good income might increase share outstanding give a false decrease in earning per share

It is what you can do yourself, use the most recent outstanding shares to calculate the EPS by dividing the profit after tax in the past 5 years by the recent shares outstanding .

Another way is to use a normalized EPS. You get the average profit after tax over the last 5 years, then get the average equity or shareholders fund over the last 5 years.

Divide the average Profit after tax by the average equity and multiply by 100, this will give you the average return on equity in the past year. You will multiply the average return on equity by the net asset per share to get normalized EPS .

Dangote Sugar

Recent EPS N4.51
Normalized EPS N3.71
Average EPS N2.37

NASCON

Recent EPS N2.06
Normalized EPS N1.79
Average EPS N1.30

Good afternoon,
Someone shared this http://sec.gov.ng/non-mandated/ (God bless that soul and Deruggedprof). So i and my colleague that has apathy for anything stock cos past experience checked and she has Fidelity and universal ins.
My question is apart from filling E-Mandate and taking to her bank any other requirements? Is there a way of knowing the amount of each stock and if its what the stress?
Thanks and God bless all those that keep here active.

To know the quantity of the shares, she will need to visit the registrar in charge of the company. For fidelity, the registrar is First Registrars 2, Abebe village road, Iganmu, Lagos.
Currently, fidelity is N5.27 as of the close of the market today so the value will depend on the quantity she has.
For Universal insurance, I doubt if the value will be worth the stress even if there is a buyer at the lowest market price.

While browsing, I stumbled upon "The Ponzi Factor," a book whose author argues that, apart from dividend-paying stocks, the stock market operates like a Ponzi scheme. According to the author, when it comes to stocks that don't pay dividends, investors purchase them with the hope of selling them at a higher price to someone else, and the market requires a steady stream of new investors to sustain profits for existing investors. The book made some compelling points, and I recommend giving it a read as it's a concise read.

It sparked a different thought in me: If I had invested 15 million in UCAP in 2020, I would be receiving nearly 700k+ per month in dividends, which is similar to what Shell SPDC contract office workers in Port Harcourt earn each month. This translates to a passive 57% return on initial investment.

Someone actually said, Stock Exchange is legalized Ponzi

This must be dividends you were owed from previous year/s. Did you recently fill out the e-mandate?

Current dividend will not be paid until late May

I looked at the alerts again and I saw div 8, div 16, div 19 and div 14 in the different alerts.

I didn't just recently fill the e-mandate.

Or could they have miscalculated before?

Let me share a brief story with you. Back in 1997, when I was in sss1, I began to explore indicency. At the time, I was responsible for purchasing our Sunday newspaper, the Vanguard, and at the newspaper stand I would often hide away in a corner to peruse adult magazines. By the time I reached university, I had likely gone through hundreds of these publications.

During my third year of studies, in 2003, I completed an industrial attachment with a radio station. I recall spending countless hours in cyber cafes watching various types of porn, from Latinas to ebony to milfs to squirt to granny and more. It was through this process that I even learned how to use computers; I never received formal training, but learned by doing. cheesy

When I embarked on my service year, I obtained my first mobile phone and with it, unlimited access to porn, shege banza, heyhey!

To cut the story short, I have seen enough female body parts to last me a lifetime and even experimented with a few myself.

Did I answer your question. grin
