Such vulnerable people can easily be tricked into good European countries or North America than India and Turkey. I guess that’s why the boy was bamboozled or tricked into following them. |

I believe if our institutions had been strengthened in during your time as member and deputy speaker house of senate, all these would not have come to be. The senate in better climes exists to make laws and scrutinize policies of the executive arm as it affects the general populace. Bit in our land, they all collude to making life a miserable hell for the citizens. With all the graduates being produced from federal, state as well as private universities across the nation, and with a commitment of government across board and all levels, we would have a better healthcare system, and indeed society. But you and your political colleagues, you have made politics occupational have eaten and swallowed both your dues and the wealth of the people. I hold you no pity, cos out of poverty so many Nigerians have ventured into drug peddling abroad and have also been executed accordingly. Only if our people will begin to stone your likes to death. |

affable4:Ofcourse the Jury already found out the boy lied about a lot of things including his age and saying he was an orphan when infact his both parents are still alive but that's not the bone of contention here ohh. Baba, wife and their doctor beat UK immigration laws,Health laws and tourists visa laws...It was learnt that 5430 sick UK citizens are patiently waiting for someone to die to get a legitimate kidney transplant from the deceased while 9ja Kidney barons dey illegally move peeps into UK anyhow dey harvest their kidneys. The worst is that the boy was treated like a slave by the family and was going to get 2700pounds for something a live donor should get more than 5000pounds.And he would have been living illegally in the UK afterwards going by the arrangement. Pain me say 15yrs maximum dem go splash give these callous souls. 3 Likes |

affable4:Everything you wrote? What did you write that is sensible? What is the relevance of whether he knew? The honest answer is I do not know and you do not know too it does not matter as far as the court case is concerned The fact that you are prepared to form an opinion and not listen to the facts show s you are biased. The other thing that i s obvious is you really have not taken time to even hear what the case against Ekweremadu is Let us assume the boy knew, did he understand? ,was he told the whole truth? Was he told that if he gives a kidney he would need treatment and checkups for ever? Was there any arrangement for this would he get this lifelong treatment? As required by UK law and did the Ekweremadu enter an agreement to pay for that? Or were they going to use and dump him Let m me make one thing clear the UK WERE NEVER going to let him remain in their country and pay for lifetime healthcare. He would have to return to Nigeria. The doctor who interviewed was right to judge that he had no means to look after himself if he returned to Nigeria with one kidney. That should highlight to you the wickedness of the whole enterprise Was he told that if his other kidney fails he too might need a transplant? I don't know and it is wrong to judge without hearing him Now what happened is the hospital refused to perform the procedure and he returned home How did they treat him from that point? You make it sound as if if he knew he cannot change his mind.? Why not? Is he no longer a human being Even weddings people cancel Have you considered he agreed based on deception. You totally fail to acknowledge deception What really is happening to us in Nigeria? What kind of mentality is that? Does he have family?did the inform them? 6 Likes |

omonnakoda: Thank you! Reading some of the comments from some Nigerians really made me think that some of us indeed lack critical thinking skills...all thise "he agreed", "he gave his consent", 'He was not forced" as if they are talking about someone agreeing to borrow another a pair of shoes and not a critical body organ of which the lack of could reduce the quality of life or end it completely. I tire. I just hope this case also serves to educate Nigerians about organ donation, the restrictions and the consequences and health implications that are involved as well as world of human trafficking for the purpose of illegally procuring organs for the rich. 4 Likes |

DontBullshitMe: Evidence presented during the trial proved that the young man didn’t plot against the Ekeweremadus, the Ekeweremadus plotted against him. Beatrice was terrible on the stand and her foul attitude caused her to answer the prosecutor’s questions in ways that aided the prosecution. 2 Likes |

To those of you labelling the boy as wicked because he excercised his human right not to donate his God given body part. This is the fate of the other Nigerian who donated to the convicted Doctor Obinna Obeta. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65015489.amp "As for the young Nigerian who was flown to London to provide a kidney for Dr Obeta, the BBC found him living in a small east London flat with condensation on the windows, still suffering from pain and weakness, the consequences of giving up a vital organ." Anyone siding with the Ekweremadu and blaming the victim, I pray none of your loved ones ever fall victim to evil rich selfish Nigerian politicans who are only out to use you for spare parts and disposable assets. 4 Likes 1 Share |
