Look at the player some people want Peseiro to invite to Super Eagles. Chai! I blame NFF for this!

Super Eagles decline. Super Eagles: Corruption and Incompetence Score More Goals Than The Players. The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been on a downward spiral lately, and it seems that corruption and incompetence have become their most valuable players. It's no surprise that the Super Eagles have been struggling in recent times, with more focus on lining pockets and playing politics than actually playing the game. It's high time the Nigerian Football Federation took a long, hard look at the state of the Super Eagles and made some serious changes before it's too late. Super Eagles: Over-Reliance on Foreign-Born Players Who Couldn't Make the Cut In Their Home Countries The Super Eagles of Nigeria seem to be relying more and more on foreign-born players who couldn't make the cut in their home countries. It's almost like the Super Eagles are the team of last resort for these players. The Nigerian Football Federation needs to ask themselves whether they want a team of players who are proud to wear the Nigerian jersey or just a bunch of rejects looking for a second chance. It's time to focus on developing local talent and building a team that can truly compete at the highest level. Maybe it's time to start a "Bring Back the Super Eagles" campaign and bring back the glory days of Nigerian football which I have started on Nairaland sports section. We can't keep relying on players who couldn't make it in their home countries or country of birth to save us. It's time for a change. 3 Likes |

zuchyblink: This is why a lot of people hate me here....lol I have been hammering on this, that these foreign rejects will destroy our super eagles. Imagine inviting a clueless Iwobi and a Aribo then left Nwakali behind. Its leaves me with a rage! Did you guys see the shot Iwobi attempted at this last premiership game his club played....it was embarrassing, as always. Both Aribo and Iwobi are going to the championship to continue their mediocre career but in Nigeria they are worshipped as Super Stars by Nigerians who worship anything foreign. These two mediocre midfielders will be manning our midfield with another back pass legend, Ndidi and expect the eagles to fly. You hire foreign coaches who doesn't respect the black man nor in our talent. The average Nigerian doesn't understand the way the white man see us, the blacks hence their excitement as soon as they hear a white man is coming. The whites see us from a condescending position not from a place of respect. Iwobi and Aribo have no business being in our super eagles. It's a mockery of our national team 2 Likes |

You guys do not seize to amaze me. Always comparing with the Europeans playing on their continent! So you expect them to put resources scouting talents in Nigeria academies when they can easily do that on their continent. It is like saying cos Nigerian clubs are not scouting players from east africa therefore their federation is rubbish! Does that make sense? The coach just invited a guy from Yum Yum fc yet many of you guys are crying all over TL. Investing in football in advanced countries is by private institutions. It is only in africa you expect your leaders to do everything for you! If someone listen to you guys one would think Nigeria just hire players and there are no academies in the country! typicalgamer: I hate that they've put a pause to the consistency we were having with the age grade teams. We saw how 2013 to 19 u17 were that produced Nacho, Nwakali, Osimhen and Co. Now, it's like the old men are clamoring and some fellows in nff are in support of return to the retrogressive old ways of mendem in age grade levels. Senegal have been consistent for too long with doing it the right way now that they are too good for even our old mendems at the u20 AYC. |

This na attention seeker! lol! If I did not mention Eletu in my post make God punish that your dirty mouth. You wrote a silly epistle of nonsense. We have academies all over the country so keep shut. Morrocco and Algeria with all their academies rely on players born abroad yet does not even have midfield depth as we do. So shut da f up! zuchyblink: 1 Like 1 Share |

andrewbaba44:Averagely 10games per year or more. Doing that for a decade w/out injuries should see 70caps+competition appearances. 100 should be a consistent number for many african ballers by now. But sadly, asides lesser amount of games, the form issue plus foolish trasnfer window decisions. |

Senegal was not too good for them. Ahh! I bet you did not watch the match. Although we did not play well Senegal was average at best too. The Senegalese were just lucky. Their teams won mostly on penalties. So rest! daveP: 3 Likes 1 Share |
