Dear respected Nairalanders, I hail you. I am not from Nigeria, but i am so grateful for this forum as my country people are either not interested in sharing their journeys or have not managed to âjapaâ in large numbers as you Nigerians have. Thank you for the wealth of information in this and many Canadian posts alike. I am a japa hopeful too, sitting in the pool with a measly 300+ points wondering how to raise my scores but trying to be optimistic that Bill C-19 may favour my noc. In the meantime i wish to ask if there is anyone with experience of landing on visit visa and working their way to PR. I know it maybe a long process but i wish to get the quickest fix to my japa dilemma. My country has done a fast one on me and i just need to move yesterday. Study route is too expensive but also i am told that children of international students dont get to study free of charge, please correct me if i am wrong. Listening attentively to all your positive feedbacks and i appologize if this is not the right thread for my inquiries. Thank you once again, O beloved Nigerians for the youtube videos and all the information you keep putting out there to help us your fellow Africans. May you japa in multitudes and may you be prosperous in Canada. IJN amen. 7 Likes |

jasperonyx: Thank you Sir, But perhaps you could respond to my questions. 1) is there anyone who has tried the visit visa - work permit and eventually PR route? 2) do children of international students pay school fees? (Primary school) Thanks. 4 Likes |

leopardinatree:unless you are Indian, Chinese or jew etc. This is almost impossible. The people mentioned have big companies they can use for job offer. The average employer is only interested in people with work status already. |

ednut1: Thanks, This is just what I needed to know. The feasibility of that idea or rather the lack thereof. Back to the study option, will my children be able to study for free or must I leave them behind until I get PR from study route if at all I get. Should I pursue the study route, I would very much like my children to move with me to Canada. They are all of primary school age. |

leopardinatree:you can try the visit visa, it's already stated that you can convert visit visa to PR, if you get a job. Children of international students can access same benefit with a PR, but you must have resided for atleast 9 months, I am not sure of the exact number of months. It's better you start this Express Entry process. No fast route to japa. It needs patient. Or you move to UK. |

Hello Nairalanders, I just got ITA in the last draw. My wedding is coming up ending of next month and I hope to submit my application before the wedding because I applied as a single applicant. My husband is not accompanying me to Canada yet because he is still running his Msc. In UK. Please what do you advise? Can I go ahead and submit my applicant as a single before the wedding takes place? |

ITA received finally. It has been a long ride. Since 2019 that we even had to apply for masters in the uk but couldnât do it cos of COVID while waiting for ITA. Did the masters online but wasnât qualified for post study work visa. By this time profile has expired. Wrote another Ielts (my partner and I). Did another evaluation and boom Canada decided to show us another shege. Scores went above 500. Paid for another masters in the uk. This time 18months cos they said pre-masters. Didnât want to disclose we had a previous masters and after landing in the UK just 2 months. ITA don show. It can only be God. Thank you all for the encouragement. My own is DONT GIVE UP. itâll end in praise. 16 Likes 1 Share |

Guys please what do you advise me to do. I just got my ITA too March 23rd/24th Most of my Funds came in this March 2023 from all sources. Is it advisable to submit my application for SINP nomination ? I hear we need minimum of 3months for the Funds to be in my bank account before submitting. Is there a waver ?? Will they decline my application ? 1 Like |

dabyem:Submit your application as a single woman, notify them immediately you get married that your status has changed. Failure to do this would be seen as misrepresentation which would be detrimental for you irrespective of the status you hold once discovered. My advice: Add your spouse to your application after AOR because your score wonât be recalculated and the only thing that would be required of him is medicals and biometrics. He can do a soft landing before his COPR expires and then go back to continue his Msc if he is yet to round up as at then. Either ways, do not keep your marital status away from them after the wedding. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. May God bless and keep your home. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

jasperonyx:Thank you. Indeed I am already in the pool. Brushing up my French for TEF exam. Even then I will only make it to the mid 400s at most (after redoing IELTS assuming I get an 8 in listening this time around, making spouse unaccompanying and passing TEF). Which is why I am looking at other alternatives. Mid 400s is still not quite there yet. đ¤Śââď¸ |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by cadno(m): 2:24pm On Mar 25, 2023 |
leopardinatree: To qualify for the Provincial nomination of 600 points that I will use for Federal express entry application for PR. I hope I got your question right. |

cadno: If you already have an ITA, submit your application. My funds were not up to 3 weeks in my account at the point of submission and I got PPR in 2.5 months after submitting. The key here is to make sure you can explain the sources of the funds in a letter of explanation and attach any relevant documentation. For mine, I wrote an LOE and included a table showing breakdown of the different funds and their respective sources e.g. year-end bonus, payslip for my husband and I and evidence of sale of USDT (a crypto). I attached all the supporting docs to my LOE and I didnât have any issues with my application. IRCC doesnât expressly say 6 months old funds just that you must be able to convince them that your funds are free from any encumbrance (i.e. not borrowed). 4 Likes 1 Share |

cadno: Understood. I didnât know that SINP held a draw on 23rd. I thought it was an IRCC ITA for the 7000 surprise draw. Ok in response to your question, there is no waiver and they will decline your application as the funds were meant to be in your account 3 months prior to applying and not even 3 months prior to receiving ITA. Its tricky, maybe have a look at whether they accept liquid funds/ bonds and other financial assets. Or perhaps link the funds to sale of property. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by leopardinatree: 2:48pm On Mar 25, 2023 |
Abercrome: Was your case a SINP application or the regular Express entry ITA.? Because SINP is very clear about that clause, i dont think she is at the mercy of IRCC as she is still at the provincial jurisdiction level. Should SINP not be satisfied with her failure to meet this requirement she could lose the precious 600 point opportunity. |
