codemaniacs: My friend sharrap what about the chances that he missed nko? As a professional you need to control your emotions because your team mate wants to win as much as you want to win and your Quality isnβt even miles ahead of all your teammates to be disgruntled at any opportunity they shoot at Goal. 6 Likes |

elyte89: We missed so many chances or half chances from the likes of Simon, chukwueze, osimehn and onuachu that I doubt any absentee could had made a difference. If our players had converted their chances game should had concluded at 3-1. Itβs not to say that midfield shouldnβt be a priority 1 Like |

We have always played lackadaisical even against Sao tome. We hardly move the ball quick around because our players are always taking forever to think on the right pass. There was no time anyone threatened nor force the goal keeper to a save from a shot. It seems as if we keep moving balls around and expect the ball to just move behind the goal keeper. Chukwueze will only cross for Osihmen and ignore players in better position. Above all we deservedly lost |

Peisero has not introduced anything new into the mediocre super eagles team. We have Nigerians playing and some scorring in European championships like the Europa League, conference league etc. But he keeps bringing the same set of players. We don't have forceful attacking midfielders. We need to address the midfield otherwise they'll be little the attackers can do 3 Likes |

I don't think we played poorly at all. This was one of those days. If the match kept playing until this very moment, i don't think we would score. Samu and Osayi were really good today. Osimhen and Ademola had a off day which is fine. Our CB pairing were very shaky and I think we need one more in our midfield. Iheanacho did good also and I think his sub was rushed. 7 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: Basco, let's not mince words. The track Record is proof that we've been playing poorly. 4 straight losses If we can't get goals against the 118th ranked team in the world, the remark is that they played poorly. Several teams don't have the quality of our team but they drag out results. 11 Likes 1 Share |

daveP: How come Arsenal didn't drag out a result against Everton a couple weeks ago We are not talking about past results. What did ur eyes tell you? Did we create the most chances, yes or no? On a different day Osimhen, Samu, Onuachu and Moses would score their chances. Guinea Bissau do not resemble a 118th ranked team. They are way better than that ranking and they are well coached. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Our boys actually played well. It is a known fact that the best team does not always win. Oshimen killed a lot of our moves, especially in the first half. I do not understand why a player at such a high level cannot stay onside. So amateurish! Iheanacho gave, some good passes to Chuz and Oshimen in the first, but both wasted the chances. Iheanacho should have started the second half, and a Moffi should have come in later. Most of our chances came from the right. Chukweze and Osayi. A Musa intro just killed the vibe. Chukweze should have been left alone. We are building an exciting and formidable team able to dominate its opponent. We need an equally formidable technical team and a standard infrastructure! Get a FINIDI and AMUNEKE to work with our boys. The new NFF President should never make the mistake of Pinnick ever again. Put our own and stand by him through thick and thin. Enough of grade F European coaches. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

daveP: That's what happens when you sack a coach without having a proper replacement. The problem with most Nigerians is pride. We don't have the money to hire a Grade A foreign coach but we had a Grade C coach who delivered on all the targets given to him by the NFF and ended up sending him away because of his style of play. I'll keep saying this: When we're ready to progress in this country, we will. We're not ready at all. Virtually every sector in this country is bleeding. Football cannot be an exception. 2 Likes 1 Share |

How to get a good coach The coach if the sierra leone team that held us to a 4 4 draw should be our ciach. Also the coach of the cape verde team that almoat sent us out of the world cup qualifiers. These coaches achieve good results with average players and have a good record. We keep employing ignorant confused mercenaries as coaches. Even this present guinea bisau ciach can be considered. We can also fry amunike. Pesiro lacks any tactical knowledge of simple things 1 Like |

The midfield and defence from the core of that U20 team under Bosso would have done a better job than the benchwarming deadweights we paraded (save for Iwobi). Daga, Onuche, Jude Sunday, Ogwuche, Benjamin Fredericks and even our No 10 (I think Amunu is his name) should be added to the senior team and the likes of Ndidi, Aribo etc permanently dropped. While at it the likes of Orban, Victor boniface, Nwakali, Akinsanmiro, Nathan Tella and Akpom must be integrated into this team going forward...the only players that should be kept from this present crop are Osimhen, Iwobi, Bright Osayi Samuel, Aniagboso, Ebuehi and Ola Aina. Integrate the players I mentioned from the U20 set to this crop of players we should build the team around and then get in a Nigerian coach to manage this new core of players. Maybe we can look at the Remo stars coach? he has some exciting projects going with Remo stars...otherwise let's just take our chances with Finidi? it sucks we suffer from a dearth of quality Nigerian coaches. If the Nigerian coaches aren't delivering, then we should try one of those South African or North African coaches within the continent...teams like Orlando Pirates, Wydad,Zamalek etc all play fantastic brands of football under their local coaches, they can bring that quality to a new look Nigerian team. Players we should build around going forward: Attack Osimhen (make him the freaking captain as it appears he's the only one that cares) Moffi Gift orban Victor Boniface Chukwueze (he should be on probation) Chuba Akpom( he can effectively play the creative forward role as he does at Middlesbrough) Nathan Tella (effectively replaces Musa and Moses Simon on the wings) Players that should be phased out in that attack are: Simon Moses, Onuachu, Musa, and Iheanacho and maybe Lookman if he keeps stinking up the joint. Players we should build around in Midfield: Midfield Iwobi Daniel Daga (U20) Nwakali Akinsanmiro Eletu Onuche (U20) Jude Sunday (U20) Eberechi Eze (England seems very unlikely for him, we now stand a better chance than before) Lesley Ugochukwu (France is super stacked) so let's make a concerted move for this kid. Ayaosi (a midfield gem in the NPFL). Onyedika Alhassan Yusuf Players in midfield that should be moved along: Ndidi, Aribo, Onyeka, Etebo. Players in defence/full back we should build around: Defence Benjamin Frederick (u20) Ogwuche (U20) Solomon Agbalaka (U20) Bruno Onyemaechi Osayi Bright Samuel Ola Aina Ebuehi Olisa Ndah Igor Ogbu Players to be placed on probation: Bassey, Akpoguma, Zaidu, Ekong. Goal keepers to build around: Arthur Okonkwo Chijioke Aniagboso Adeleye Any decent shot stopper we can find in the fringes of Europe. probation: Uzoho, Maduka. Manager: Any of Finidi, bring back Oliseh if possible, or any top African coach doing well within in North Africa. Cc: TheSuperNerd What do you think? 1 Like 1 Share |

mancoconut: I havent seen him.play but can chuba akpom be better than iheanacho in thr supporting or creativr striker role. If tha6 is the case then use him instead of iheanacho. Mind u this is comming from someone who prefers home grown talent but at the end of the day it is your performance on the pitch thay determine everything Generally if they keep playing like this what happened afyer the 2010 eorld cup moght happen to the team. Someone in nff might decide on a nee coach and overhauling the team |

I didn't get to watch the whole game live but after watching the highlights, this is my take. Peseiro is NOT entirely to blame. I judge a coach's tactical prowess based on the number and quality of goalscoring chances his team produces. Scorelines alone can be misleading. We were VERY unlucky not to score several times. The fact is that we produced several good chances and knocked the ball around pretty good (Rohr's SE couldn't make three midfield passes without losing the ball). Peseiro has a clear philosophy of low-passing possession-based football. This is what we yearned for under Rohr. Sadly, such football needs two things that we don't have; a good, smooth pitch, and a cerebral midfield. Tactically, I give Peseiro a pass mark. Player selection is his only issue for me. And I blame that on the greedy NFF that wants to sell Yummy players at all cost, not the coach. Fellow Nigerians, abeg make we get small patience with Peseiro. The man is cooking something delicious. Watch how we will trounce GNB on Monday. 1 Like 1 Share |
