jimikata: Counterfoil is a document given by IRCC after visa stamp. I’ve asked people how soon does it come, some said immediately after passport collection from VFS, some said 2weeks. I asked a friend of mine if it’s compulsory to travel with it and she said yes, which is why I’m worried cos I haven’t received mine. |

damilad96: Counterfoil is the stamp on your passport, the visa stamp. LOI is what comes after stamping, and you’ll need it at the border. 5 Likes |

Good day lovely people, Please, I need some directives on the way forward. I had my application refused yesterday by the VO on the basis of lack of enough financial resources. I applied for a Post Graduate course, paid first semester fee, had a bank balance of almost 7 million as at when I requested for my bank statement, my brother had a bank balance of over 30 million because he actually wrote a sponsorship letter to co-sponsore me. I have decided to reapply immediately. Please, what steps do I need to take? Defer the admission till September? Someone should please, guide me Many thanks in advance |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Welsh2np: 10:31am On Mar 25, 2023 |
Aghoghomena: You can do two things: But first you must get your GCMS notes to know what the VO’s concerns are. The monies are well enough and above the needed funds, so the challenge is proof of relationship. You two share same surname? And also, the 7M in your account, showed enough source of the funds Secondly, you need to defer to September, because this is almost April. And notes are always recommended before reapplying so you don’t spoil your second application. But also, you can have an expert look at all the other documents used in submitting the previous application, they could spot the mistakes made and you could submit a reapplication well before the notes even arrive, that way you may not need to defer to September, incase you have a favorable decision. Aghoghomena:sorry for that. But at this point of refusal, it only takes courage to reapply by yourself again. I suggest you involve a licensed consultant for Canada Immigration, I didn't say agent ooo. So they have to appeal the refusal, and handle the process for you for a better result on a second try . Why I say this is because applying after refusal by your self again might lead to you repeating the same mistake. I know how frustrating a first refusal might be not to think of a second one. Please don't claim to be acada on this traveling issue all we want is to see ourselves in canada it doesn't matter if you did it yourself or you applied through a firm. Las Las all man go dey alright, note: don't feel reluctant not to know the processes, ways and step by step during your application and before approval. There's knowledge in all these. I wish you PPR on your next try, just repackage to refire so as to retire in canada. All the best. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by BenedictStinson(m): 11:18am On Mar 25, 2023 |
Aghoghomena:1)Did your "sponsor" pay the first semester fee or you did that yourself? 2)Did your "sponsor" transfer your living expenses to you or the rest of your fees to you? Without doing any of these two why should they believe those funds in his account will be available to you and not just for show? |
