There's no indictment because there's no case. The Statute of Limitations has already elapsed, so the case would get dismissed.

Misdemeanors have an SoL of 2 years but can be extended to 5 years if the defendant has been outside the state continuously or cannot be located during that time. Most felonies (barring rape and murder) have an SoLf 5 years too. Whatever the case may be, it seems like the time has elapsed.

So on one side we have the Manhattan DA (District Attorney) who is an actual lawyer and has a team of top lawyers all intimately knowledgeable of NY's laws and statute of limitations, who decided to empanel a Grand Jury.
On the other side, we have a guy who lives in Nigeria, who I don't think is a lawyer, who hasn't passed the BAR in NY, let alone fully understands NY law, doesn't know what legal theory Bragg is contemplating or even what charges he may file, wants to tell us about the statute of limitations.
