benalvino3: Everything you say speaks to the fact you look down on others which speaks to the reason you hate those who live in the US, jealousy that you think they are better than you. So you want to tear them down and diminish their accomplishments, so you can feel better than them and about yourself. Look at the lies about me you keep repeating. I'm poor, my Dad's poor, my girl's poor, my relatives are poor. You like these delusional worlds of yours. You already think you're a White Republican who lives in Florida. So, why not. Keep it up.. as long it soothes you at night. But really though, the other day you were saying my family is from Ajegunle which I assume is a socio-economically disadvantaged area in Lagos. As if, because people live there, they are bad people? Today, my relations are poor. Because people struggling in Nigeria and maybe don't have the privileges I was afforded are what, trash? Very Christian attitude of yours don't you think? Yeah, Qatar is a layover destination. Clap for yourself. I guess that's where you go when you can't get a visa. Maybe you can stock up on some skin bleaching cream to make the trip worth it. 1 Like 1 Share |

IjeBos: lol, I am jealous of you. how? I have told you I love my life, I could not ask for more. I don't want to be in the US, I am not that interested. I have said this since 2020 or before. I don't care where you live. I am just surprised how you use poverty in your family as a projector. you project it to everyone you disagree with. On a forum where you have no clue who is who. I am still waiting for the answer on how you can go to Harvard and be this dumb. you don't even make sense. you shout I am from the US to pretty much everyone you see on nairaland then turn around and say I am jealous do you think people don't suffer in the US? why did your dad run to Nigeria for retirement? he is afraid of Biden's tax or he is Poor and cannot afford the US? Before you even mention your dad is stuck in Nigeria, I said it and you are like prideoflincoln whose mom is stuck in Nigeria but he makes noise just like you. I know you will die one day and the same goes to me. I just hope you can carry America to the Grave lol because the way you talk about the US, it feels like you invented it. How old are you by the way? Never seen anyone so childish and what will your imaginary girlfriend say if she sees how you carry US for head? yes, I am going to Doha, it is not Panama where you don't need a visa to enter or Columbia. But you cannot enter Qatar without a visa, they don't have joe biden. if you have no business being there, they will send you back on the next flight. |

raumdeuter:The wording I quoted is directly from the bill's pdf I downloaded, not an interpretation. https://legiscan.com/FL/text/H1557/id/2541706
Yes you are correct, schools are for learning, and are meant to produce the next generation of functioning and productive citizens. But sexuality is also another fact of being human. You limit the freedom to talk about certain topics and people in history, if you say sexuality is never to be mentioned in a classroom. Don't get me wrong, I understand where you're coming from. But be honest, did you learn about sex and sexuality from your parents, or was it somewhere else? Most parents naively think their kids will never have questions. Or the kids know never to bring up that topic, speaking from personal experience coming from a conservative Muslim home. Or the parents are not even equipped to talk about it properly, especially when you factor in religious and political bias here. Now how do you think this is going to work out, say half the class's parents consent and the other half doesn't, do you just teach half the class, and exclude the others? 1 Like 1 Share |

benalvino3:I wonder why more people would do that? Could it be because western society is more accepting now, and there are legal protections against discrimination now? So these people feel more comfortable not hiding? Unlike say Nigeria, where gay people could still get lynched. This is no different than the spike in the number of people identifying as left handed, when left handedness became less stigmatized. Considering I'd like my child to lead a happy and a productive life, and not eventually kill themselves. I'd take them to a pediatric psychologist, have them run a diagnosis for gender dysphoria. Before knowing whether to take them seriously or not. If they are positive for gender dysphoria, then I'd differ to the opinions of the medical experts in the field, or differ to scientific literature on the topic for the best course of action going forward. 1 Like 1 Share

raumdeuter: I can not agree with this. First, sex and sexuality is part of learning, since it would occupy quite a lot of a child's growing up and life long living. Not teaching about it is like not teaching social skills. Second. Parent me might teach my children about sex and sexuality and the issues involved, like how to not get pregnant, or catch a disease, or to not let some grubby person touch where they'd not want, but the children of others might be learning rubbish from Andrew Tate because their parents can't teach them properly or at all. So I would want all children to be taught in school also so they are all on the same page. After all, it's not as if they can teach my well educated by me girl that she is a boy, especially since I'd be on her school's parent-teacher's association too. And if you are wondering at what age. From when they are at least 5, by me, since I'd want to start early to empower them to protect their self from the predators out there, and by 8 at least in school, since I'd want all children to learn to protect themselves too. Personally, only predators or those who believe their child's teacher is teaching their child to be a not born in gender would not want their child to learn in school about sex and it's issues, In which case, such parents are irresponsible, for they should at least know what education they are buying for their child and that it suits its intended purpose of protecting the child. And by the way, calling it "sex education" is the same as calling HB1557 the "Don't Say Gay" Bill. https://educationhub.blog.gov.uk/2023/03/10/what-do-children-and-young-people-learn-in-relationship-sex-and-health-education/ 1 Like

DeusXmachina: If there are a thousand sexuality according to liberals then how many are teachers equipped to teach. Since it can be controversial then it's better to leave it out of classroom There are enough topics in mathematics science Geography etc not covered at this time that to be focusing on sexuality |

benalvino3:Are you intentionally being daft? The "don't say gay" name is a moniker given to the bill by critics, not words used in the law. The criticism is that the implementation of this law will result in schools silencing the mentions of lgbt stuff, under threat of being sued. Go back and read the reply you quoted again. benalvino3: Riddle me this. If you love your life so much, why do you spend all your time on a thread of a country you hate pretending to be a White Republican from Florida? And if you love your life so much, why do you hate yourself since you hate people who look like you, who have the same skin color as you? Contradictions abound. Listen, I have Blue and Green passports. Anywhere you can go, I can also go. The inverse isn't true though, is it? Let that jealousy set in. And FYI, Americans can get a visa on arrival in Qatar. |
Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by benalvino3: 11:48pm On Mar 25, 2023 |
DeusXmachina: you should ask yourself that question. the bill has its name and Calling it that is propaganda designed to agitate people And I am saying the Bill did not silence anything, the name is designed to mislead. Nothing in the Bill that silence LGBT stuff. For those who never read the bill... What does the bill actually do? One section says schools generally “may not discourage or prohibit parental notification of and involvement in critical decisions affecting a student’s mental, emotional, or physical health or well-being.” Parents also can’t be blocked from “education and health records created, maintained, or used by the school.” Another section says: “Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate.” Parents who think the law isn’t being followed could ask for the appointment of a magistrate to review the dispute. Or they could sue to get a declaratory judgment and attorney fees. To millions of parents, this no doubt sounds noncontroversial. Their children’s mental health and school records are eminently their business. Kindergartners are supposed to be learning how to read and peaceably resolve turf wars over Tonka trucks. To their tiny ears, “sexual orientation” is a string of silly nonsense syllables. The bill says older children could be taught “age-appropriate” material. 2 Likes |

raumdeuter:"A thousand sexuality" is not "according to liberals", since it is very obvious that not only liberals are creating their own sexuality! And any teacher who teaches that it is according to liberals should be excluded from indoctrinating children with ignorant propaganda. raumdeuter:Would you, on this ground, want to exclude race too, and social skills and critical thinking and about other religions, since "There are enough topics in mathematics science Geography etc not covered at this time"? Perhaps have more faith in your child, and your ability to educate it, is what I suggest. After all, it would be irresponsible of you to just focus on "topics in mathematics science Geography etc", when even in those subjects you can be teaching about the percentages and geographical spread and the science behind sexuality. If, say, you teach your child about percentages of prevalence of the thousands of sexualities in various geographical locations, your child might learn a lot of "mathematics science Geography etc". 1 Like |

benalvino3: Now, this I can not oppose, and in fact categorically agree with. It also supports Raumdeuter's objection to calling it the "don't say gay law", which it isn't, and is as ignorant as "Maths is racist". 3rd Grade is however for ages 8-9, and it would become age appropriate to teach about sexual orientation or gender identity if a child in their class is questioning either or has parents with either or both. We would not after all want any particular child excluded nor bullied by the ignorant rest just because we did not teach them about "sexual orientation or gender identity" all be it of others. 1 Like |

benalvino3:Did that riddle stump you? You love your life but hate your black skin. Both can't be true you know. And we definitely know you hate your black skin. Hmmm... Ask yourself, what kind of "man" tries to attack someone by lying about someone's family? And if my family were poor, like I'm assuming a lot of Nigerian people are, why would that be shameful? Real Talk though, No one in my family raises chickens, like some here do. lol. The farm land we do own, someone else tends them. You should probably stop talking about poverty. You're a black man, who is Racist toward other black people, pretends he's a White Republican, who makes fun of people who are struggling financially, and tries to attack people's families. You are really a true Christian. You should be canonized. The White Republican role suits you perfectly, hypocrisy and all. Lol. 1 Like 1 Share |
