1. Confirm from your UnI if they will assist in finding a placement for you- this should part of your deal breaker, simply because you may not get a profitable internship if you are left without support

2. POF is only for 9months regardless of your length of study,however iHS will increase and cover the entire duration of your study

3. No idea plus I may be biased..A quick review will help, check if each Uni has Nigerian student association and contact them directly.

Northampton has a placement component to it (deposit £7000).

Salford (deposit £5500).

1. Is this placement route profitable? (Getting internships, paid or unpaid), hoping to get UK experience.

2. Because the placement is for an extra year, will I need to double the POF? And double IHS fees?

Hello @dduchess and all…. I finished degree in 2017 tho have been working since I finished my nysc in 2019 but they are all contract jobs, I only got a full time job in 2022. Can I just submit the new companies reference letter and employment letter even though it was just Feb 2022 I joined them for my visa application or I need to add the previous company employment letters too. The only payment option on the portal is paying through convera or globalpay.

If you have other employment letters you can add it even if they were contracts

If you don't have them then your NYSC and current employment letter should be fine

Hello good people of the house. So after several considerations, I have decided to go with MMU. Still trying to get GTbank to process my Form A for school deposit.
I have 2 questions bothering my mind though

1) After my masters degree, Is there any other fee/fees that I am supposed to pay to get a work visa?
2) For the masters degree, how many years visa do we get? Can we stay in the UK throughout the duration of the visa without stepping out? How do we extend the visa after/before the expiration of the visa. We don't want to stay illegally in the UK at all.

If the person is switching to skilled workers visa then the dependant can join anytime

I’m looking at doing my masters in software engineering or any closely related course.
I don’t have all the money for tuition and all.
In fact, I have 6m for this project. I intend to work as to pay my balance and other bills.

Can I get a part time job as a software developer there?
I have a fiancé but I don’t have the funds to bring her as dependent for now, so she’s out of the picture for now.

I will appreciate a detailed reply from anyone as this will make me take a better decision.
I plan to come by January next year.

2) You will get a total of = duration of your course + 4 months. You can step in and out as you wish. Nobody def wants to be illegal. They extend or switch before expiration. https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration

Just to add that you will need to pay 624 Pounds IHS Fee per year for PSW visa and 715pounds for application per person in case Tier 2 visa sponsorship does not happen before visa expiration.
