nwkali is good and he is very consistent this days, but the goodjoe "xabi Alonso rebirth"? common man, that's a far stretch..

Why? Is Xabi Alonso not a human being again? Men, let Kelechi Nwakali work hard and aim high.

I misspelt the name, na Tom Saintfiet. He's the coach of Gambia that overperformed at the last afcon. He's Belgian too. Gambia has a good style of play with all their limitations and played bravely throughout the tournament. Interestingly he had been appointed as our coach once but we changed our minds and contract not executed. Truth is the guy na journeyman but he is used to our African nonsense with Zimbabwe and Namibia in the past. For me, Finidi hasn't impressed with Enyimba, Amuneke hasn't done much beyond u17 which Manu Garba also win. Siasia would have been ok but FIFA don already axe am plu he failed once as coach of the SE.

What do you think about this position thegoodjoe?

If I have to make rules for football, the first rule will be NEVER play Iwobi on the wings.

Emmy450:
nawa o, iwobi has found his best position which is the midfield, but you think the wings "which he performed averagely" is what he needs?? In the time the super eagles are craving for creativity from the middle, you are suggesting a sacrifice of the only creative spark.. nawa oooo

The strikers need players that can cross the effectively and Iwobi and Aribo are the available forward players that can cross well.

Unless iwobi plays midfield but also goes to the wing to cross the ball.

Moffi has to start.

There is a huge difference. Kelechi Nwakali has consistently posted some unbelievable stats, mostly tailored towards similar role of Xabi Alonso. He just hit 17 accurate long balls, which is insanely bananas.

So, it is not about throwing names but in respect to the stats posted. That was just unbelievable.

Finito.

Below are the stats of Xabi Alonso in one of his Bayern Munich games against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. You can see he posted 12 accurate long balls. In one of the games this season, Kelechi Nwakali posted 14, and today he delivered 17. So, tagging him as the rebirth of Xabi Alonso is not far-fetched.

Finito.

Yes, he has not done much, but how much did Addo do before coaching and qualifying Ghana for the World Cup.

As I said, Amunike has been working as a consultant for CAF and FIFA. Amunike qualified Tanzania for the AFCON for the first time in decades. He has done some assistant roles. He has also had his stint with the U20.

On the local scene, he is most qualified. His tactical ideologies is far better than the white journey men we are employing.

What had Eguavoen done before coaching the Super Eagles. What about Oliseh?

As far as I am concerned, Amunike has a better CV than these two had before getting the Super Eagles job.

Well I also agree with you on these points

I feel NFF should consider amunike for the position

But firstly, NFF has to sort its self financially and integrity-wise

The Super Eagles must make a statement win tomorrow! They should fight for every second ball. Put ball winners in the middle and move Iwobi up to support Oshimen. Simon and Chuz from wing! Victory is sure! Let's go Super Eagles!!!

For the return leg tomorrow, we should line up a tried and tested defence, no more of this Bassey gaffes that might prove costly. I would hope Omeruo and Semi Ajayi start as CBs this time, to the best of my knowledge Omeruo has never put in a wrong foot for Nigeria whenever he plays...just unfortunate he has been largely overshadowed by the Balogun and Ekong partnership. Ajayi on the other hand is reliable in that role.

full backs should be Osayi Bright and Bruno Onyemaechi (Zaidu should be benched).

Midfield should be Onyeka and Ndidi to lock down and protect that back 4, while Iwobi plays CLOSER to the attacking cause it was inconceivable seeing Iwobi playing deep in the first leg! All this is all speculative of course because I don't know what formation Peseiro will go with, but he has to go with a more cautious yet attacking 4231 formation...play Osimhen as a lone striker and ditch this 442 rubbish. Osimhen thrives more as a lone striker, on the wings we might have to go with Ahmed Musa for his pace and experience and Chukwueze...if Peseiro decides to go with his usual 442, then just play Moffi and Osimhen together and we will score goals.

I feel Aniagboso should replace Uzoho in goal abeg

at least, blueelf is not the cause of SE defeat

Our underpar team and stinkingly corrupt NFF has disgraced themselves yet again

NOthing good can come out of SE

I will advise you all to save yourself the trouble and not wach the return leg because SE will surely loose.

And if they are not careful, they will miss out on qualification

Nigerian football is so rotten that it will take 8yrs of consistent work to restore it

How I wish chukwueze can cross like saka. Saka definition of wing play is just beautiful to watch. The guy knows when to cross, dribble, shot etc.
Chuks is good, but teamplay is wack in GWG. Besides, like how Henderson was behind Saka, We need a Henderson behind Chuks. Currently, we have none.

nobody can be patient with the sailor that wrecked a ship or led it into an iceberg. As said before, nff are super clueless on timing. They take blame, but african Pep shares it as well.

IMO, it isn't that we can't produce good goalkeepers anymore... In Africa, we have produced some of the best goalkeepers in history ... The coaching staffs are just not doing a proper scouting of goalkeepers.. since Ikeme was forced to retire due to illness, we have tried Akpeyi, Uzoho, Okoye and Ezenwa.. None have been convincing enough.
Meanwhile we have others like Adebayo Adeleye, Arthur Okonkwo and that Remo Stars goalkeeper..

IMO,in the next 23 man list we submit, the quota for 20 foreign based players as mandated by the NFF should be for outfield players... The home based players should take up the three goalkeeping spots 😂
