Nigeria population figures are all fake. No way can we be up to 100 million in this country. They said up to 20 million people live in Lagos, not up to a million voted? 68 Likes 5 Shares |

Biodun556: Lagos, and I assure you the registration is also filled with double and triple registration. Forget about the lies that INEC sanitized the registers, millions of names were left there just in case they needed to beef up figures. 50 Likes 4 Shares |

SLAP44: Get the number of registered voters in your state and let's know the actual number of those that voted It cuts across Nigeria. Companies and religious institution compelled their people to get PVC in Lagos many don't actually believe in Nigeria electoral process causing wide spread political apathy during election 315 Likes 3 Shares |
Re: Governors Ranked According To Number Of Votes Gotten by SLAP44: 10:33pm On Mar 26, 2023 |
Biodun556: Sir, I don't agree with you, so many of the people who got new voters cards already had voters cards in other places, and sometimes, in the same locations. I know of people who are registered in more than one place, and they were being contacted to come vote in the other location. I understand apathy during the governorship elections, but the presidential elections had people coming out in heavy numbers, and yet the figures were still very poor. I think IREV cut people to size and exposed the likely population of Nigeria if we're to do a proper headcount and not this allocation of figures as guided by the NBS. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

This goes to show that the number of registered voters attributed to INEC is actually not true. The percentage of actual voting population compared to people who collected their PVCs shows a very low turnout. This could be attributed to the use of B-VAS machine. It was really a game changer. I just hope that the NPC can have an equivalent of "B-VAS" in the proposed population census later this year. 17 Likes |

SLAP44: Population figure in Nigeria is a big lie. We are not up to the 250million people alway say. As per this BVAS, it helped reveal some of the issue with the voters registration figures. Aside the fact of multiple registration and etc, most politician in their states inflate the vote figures by writing it which explain why states churn out massive vote in the past compared to the current low votes. Our population is over hyped and Iām sure without biometric census, we will still have the same problem of politician and states inflating the figures. If no biometric will be involved, NPC should not bother conducting any census coz it will be waste of money and resources. 20 Likes |

SLAP44: No we cannot. Unless they use biometrics. Even with biometrics, some people might still try to rig the numbers but the effect will be minimal and we can at least have some reasonable figure closer to reality. 14 Likes |

Too much voter apathy in Ogun. With cities like Abeokuta, ijebu ode, otta, sagamu, ilaro, mowe ogun shud be having close to I million votes in each election. 240k votes for abiodun is eggregiously ridiculous. 15 Likes |

SLAP44: Census will be worse as long as data are not collected and recorded via a secured biometric system like the NIN and BVN to prevent double counting. The 2023 Census is scheduled to last for 5 days š. The figures for election results reduced because party agents of different political parties from the same tribe wouldn't permit the inflation of figures against their own party. Census is different. It determines a lot of things. For instance, it forms part of what is used to decide the financial allocation given to states by the Federal Government. There are also trivial reasons as basic as bragging rights ššš Igbos will not want to be fewer than Yoruba. After 5 days, the North will release their figures to maintain their lead š Nobody will be there to checkmate the rigging of census figures. They NBS may return a 300,000,000+ as Nigeria's population. 17 Likes 3 Shares |

Once again, this supports my hypothesis that the Igbo are a minority population in Nigeria and far behind in population compared to the 3 majority tribes of Hausa, Yoruba and Fulani. Population small, land mass small, insults on social media, mighty. Definitely not how to thrive and grow among others with the strategic advantages. Visionary leaders ? SLAP44: My dad and mum and 4 siblings totaling 7 and our 5 spouses making a grand total of 12. We all agreed to vote for Peter Obi on election day. On that day, nobody voted. But we all have PVC. Similar scenario played out amongst the populace, where for one reason or the other, people just didn't vote. So the statistics isn't wrong but voter apathy. 22 Likes 1 Share |

N3TRAL: You capture everything correctly. LegendHero: Exactly... Census will be worst SLAP44: To be Honest. I don't think we're up to 150 million in Nigeria. Total number of NIN registrations is a little more than 100 million. from (2011 till date). And yes, they will inflate CENSUS. in fact I'm seeing 300 m populations. So many things are involved. 1. it'll give Nigeria bragging rights among other nations. šš 2. Many Nigeria states will also want to increase their figures as bragging rights. I'm sure they'll allocate 30M for Lagos which I'm definitely sure Lagos no reach 15 M. 3. I don't see any difference in our census. The states from the highest populations to lowest will remain the same but wit significant allocated populations 7 Likes |
