He was said to have won the PDP primaries in 1999 but was bypassed by party big wigs in favour of Achike Udenwa, who turned out to be a largely ineffectual governor...

He probably was never meant to be governor...

How he disappeared from the mainstream only to re-emerge this year is surprising...

East as 5 states and before the 2023 concluded election, APC acquired IMO less than 2yrs ...
PDP dominated and ruled East for inception they are the worst thing to have happened to the East, Uzodinma as commissioned more project than any Pdp governor in SE.
APC just won Ebonyi which leaves PDP with just two states that is a testament that East have rejected PDP, gud riddance anyway
