Haba Bros! I live in Asaba and worked in Onitsha. There has been series of Fire outbreaks in Onitsha main market and even Ochanja market. These fire outbreaks has always been very destructive as response from the Anambra state fire service has always been poor. Infact Asaba fire service has always come to their rescue and recently it was Enugu fire service that bailed them out. Pls let's stop all these HALF TRUTH!!!

Very quick, effective and professional.

Lagos is working and Nigeria is forging ahead.

The combine forces of Ethnic sentimentalists, treasonous media journalists, Religious partitioner , social-media validation craving yeyebrities, hateful souls and ignorant Endsarz kids; can never stop the shine.

I rather align with the winner that will always win, than sulk, whine, cry with the losers that will always lose.

Are the shop owners not paying taxes and levies to Lagos state government? It's not a free service.Infact, this was a few prompt response to other delay or non availability of water to put out the fire.

Go to any Market in Lagos and witness the kind of Illegal Electrical connections! It is insane. This I have seen at virtually all Markets in Lagos.

Also, the share number of stalls, poor lay outs and many other stuff do course all this Fire incidents.

They keep fuel inside shop, keep Generators inside shop where naked wires can be seen and you are selling clothing materials, Stationeries and many other combustibles. What do you expect?

Causes of market fire outbreak need to be highly investigated in order to determine causes and guide against future reoccurrence.
Getting too rampant nowadays .
Kudos to the Fire Service for curtailing the fire .

It’s not really that hard to figure out is it? Nigerian markets are a fire hazard.

Are those in Anambra not paying taxes? Why should their own markets burn down without response from the government?
Are they lesser humans than those in Lagos?

What of the one that happened in Anambra State last year, with the scene of the fire fighters that were ill-equipped, the residents resorted to used of buckets to pour water for quenching of the fire. Very disgraceful. grin

There are no buffer zones in-between buildings if the state should do what is needed to be done, the same people will start shouting that the government is insensitive.
Most of those buildings need to be demolished
