And the police and other security operatives on uniforms don't pay bus fares. They call themselves staff when they board commercial buses.

With all the success claimed governing Lagos, why is it that after 23 years of democracy this economic sub-culture of transport touting has not been addressed, contained or eradicated.

Are there no other productive things the government can engage these youth in.
The government spends billions every year on infrastructure of every kind.
Why can't it be a source of employment for these folks.

13k daily for parks? how much they are making daily? However I believe that this is a fake news.
E shock you?
Just wait and see, more shocks ahead. As it is said, what elders can see seated, a pikin cannot see standing on a fence.
No way mc oluomo and his gang, cultist, hooligans and the rest would be used to win elections, to do dirty work and there will not be repercussions, side effects.
Already you hear words like "we brought them to office", "we are federal", "it is out time", "we are in control". Na beans?
Just as it was alleged a then Niger delta governor empowered and armed cultist that then evolved to Niger delta militancy in 1999 and could not be controlled again, or the northern governor that was said to arm people that then lead to Boko Haram, same thing is going on right now on Lagos unfortunately. When it starts, it will not discriminate between indigenes and non indigenes.
Hopefully saner heads will prevail and nip this in the bud.

They will chase industries from Lagos like Warri people did with 'deve'. That Ogun state govt is utterly useless and a big disappointment. She should be the one alleviating people's stress by providing better business environment and keeping Lagos on its toes.

Is it ogun state that is paying the levy?

13k is way too high for daily expenses, to ordinary lazy men alias thugs.

it is not way too high.
13k should never come up at all in such a matter that is already an abomination in the first place.
ticket should never be more than 100 naira. if they want higher pay, they should get a fuckin job like every other person.

This is exactly what we want going forward. They should even increase it to 30K per day. Their blocked heads need to learn a bitter lesson the hard way. Please Lagos State Govt. should increase the levy to 30K per day. Let Agbero levy be transferred to passengers as fares, let them pay it. That is what they all voted for. Nobody should damn complain. Agberos, Bus drivers and passengers should enjoy the dividend of their votes and democrazy.

I remember one man promised to solve the Agbero situation in Lagos by proposing to take them off the streets of Lagos. grin

Ndi ara!! Una never see anything yet.

Agberotocracy at work .
Some of these protesters were amongst those who threatened Igbo and other tribes from voting in Lagos.
Tinubu has not been sworn in yet?

This is a very good development. It's too early to start complaining or protesting.
Let's all get ready for the journey from frying pan to fire. It is our choice.
More taxes, more sufferings, more Agberos to be recruited, more harassment.
We will suffer it together here in Naija. It will soon get everyone, including the people promoting tribe over competence.
It will not stop at N13k per day. It will go higher and higher.
After using Agberos to win election, who can stop them?
Directly or indirectly, we will all pay this huge taxes to Agberos on daily basis. Congrats to all of us.

If you are not happy go to Abuja.
God will help this country.
How come you’re using ‘they’ instead of ‘we’. Now that you own Lagos, are they excluding you and other APC members? Right now, your mumu is an off duty truck pusher. Thanks for compromising your vote 😂😂

There are protests currently ongoing around Abule-egba and alakuko axis of Lagos as commercial bus drivers are protesting the increase in daily fees being collected by Agberos to 13,000 naira. the bus drivers who blocked traffic on the Lagos - abeokuta this morning claimed that the government of babjide sanwolu should come to their aid as most of them are being attacked and beaten by the agbero touts for being unable to pay the daily levy of 13k, but few minutes ago the police came in to disperse the protesters by firing teargas and shooting,

The supreme chief of agberos and also a hardened islamics tribalist just cheated and deceived his way to aso rock. what do you expect, they feel they have immunity like governors and nass.

Igbos should be upright people. We have a chance to be like South Korea,, japan, many parts of successful and uptight europe, etc. Those are people we love to emulate. Not Nigeria.
