Because his market is ignorance of the customer.

It is unfortunately how too many Nigerians make money.

Sell you an inferior product at market price and then start telling you story when the item fails.

There is a solar thread where someone paid over 250k for an industrial stabiliser that failed within a week.

In the course of the discussions that followed, it turned out the stabiliser is a generic alibaba product sold by multiple vendors under different names. And the device will fail once it is used at above 50% of the labelled capacity.

So now someone has lost 250k, and more importantly is losing time and energy trying to resolve the issue of a dubious hustler masquerading as a business

It says far more about the lack of character of the average Nigerian if they are triggered by free technical advise.

Most of the best advise I have gotten was for free on reddit threads. But those are oyibos after all, not Nigerians who have been cursed with a poverty mentality that will ensure they remain poor.
