I am not sure it works as you said, because the information are not updated.

Furthermore, since your Eligibility is passed, you should expect your PPR shortly, how was your application like? Travel History, were you invited, family visit?

Regards,

Amen o. I don’t know what they check for security.
No travel history, spouse is an international student.

Hello All, I submitted a Visit Visa Application on the 9th March 2020. My passport was returned in December 2020 with a note that my application is still under review and my passport will be requested once that is done. Has anyone here gotten a visa approval within this time frame? Do I really need to follow up on the application? Are they still treating backlog as far back as 2020 year Feb-Mar?

It's about the same thing everyone is getting.

On the portal it says eligibility has started.

I applied for CBSA notes under privacy act on February 6th but no feedback yet. That's well over the 30 days they said it would take. Is there any way to track?
obazi:
GCMS notes takes longer time. Cbsa notes might be better. The person I use most time, have always delivered for me.But I don't know the time frame now for Cbsa notes and GCMS notes.

Yes I was able to eventually, had to create a tracker account.
It says "biometric in progress"

josephb:
It is, there is something you aren't doing correctly.

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by inHisheart: 9:17am On Mar 31, 2023
It went through eventually
You have to create a tracker account with your UCI and password (different from the one you used for your application) then you will get a verification code in your mail after which you put in your details and track... hope this helps

Please if your application is among the backlog applications and you received a BVL recently. Please try and check your application status for update on the new IRCC application tracker. Because I saw in a platform where somebody received BVL on the 29th for his
August 2021 application and she tracked his application there. He saw visa number there and her passport number. Please check and give us feedback for authenticity

This is accurate. Recieved BVL for my SOWP almost a week ago and checking the tracker, I saw in the document tab a work permit and visitor visa document number however both did not have expiry dates.

I checked for my visitor visa application which eligibility has started however with no bvl and the documents tab was blank

Prince Add Ade, how did you go about creating of account? The system is telling me that my UCI number and application number is not correct, and it's perfectly okay.

Hello all,

I am about to reapply for a visitors visa to Canada ahead of august to go see my sister and her family, I applied twice before(2 years ago) and was rejected, the reason was that my ties to Canada are too strong and ties to my country of residence is weak( I am a student in Hungary on a temporary residence permit) The CGMS note says I’m mobile, single, not established and has no dependents.
I currently got a US visa in hopes it would increase my chances when reapplying.

Please how do I go about this application as I really want to go in august , should I put my country of residence as Nigeria instead? What more can i submit to convince them that I will leave?

Saw something similar as well the expiry date, was a date to the expiration of my international passport and there was a visa document number as well.

It's In God's Hand.

All things being equal, expect your Passport Request. It has ended in praise.

Good morning everyone. Please, my brother is a permanent resident in Canada and he filled a sibling visitor visa for me. Stating that he'll take care of my expenses for the period of 3 weeks(my stay). Is it compulsory I submit my statement of account alongside other documents, since my brother has dropped his own statement of account to show as proof that, he can finance my expenses over there?

they still need to assess your income in Nigeria, bank balance, assets etc to determine your home ties and if you have something doing back home that will make you return home after visiting.

Yes, you can also try to call ircc.

How to call with Viber App

#Copied

This post will be long but I need you to help me pay attention. I am putting this information for people who are experiencing delays with their application and who've tried to communicate via email without having any progress. An acquaintance of mine showed me how to call ircc call center agents in Ottawa from Nigeria here using Viber app. Download the Viber app from Google or apple appstore and register with your number.

Before following the steps to make a call to ircc in Ottawa send a mail to these addresses individually;
abuja@international.gc.ca

Abuja-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

abujag@international.gc.ca

In the email input your name uci and application number. Explain your current situation in the situation. When they get the mail a prompt will be placed on your application for the visa officer to look at it.

These are the steps;
Step 1:
Call this number with the Viber app: +1-800-267-6788, it's ircc client call center number.

Step 2:
Press 1 to use the service in English.

Step 3:
Press 2 to connect to ircc

Step 4: after connection to ircc, you would listen to a message for about 30 seconds just be patient till they tell you the buttons to press. You'll be asked to input your uci number if you have, just to save time press 2 that you do not have a uci. Although when you connect to the client call center agent he/she will ask you to provide your application details which includes application number, uci number and other relevant information.
Point to note: if you're calling in for someone you'll have to fill in the ircc imm5455 consent form.

Step 5:
after step 4, you'll listen another message again like step 4 be patient till they tell you which numbers to press. press 3

Step 6:
after that the next number you'll press is 1 to talk to make enquiry about your study permit application or press 2 to make an enquiry about your PR application.

Step 7: the final number to press is 0 to speak to an agent.
Point note : the client support center opens by 1pm. Nigerian time. So it's best to start calling them by 12:45pm so you can be in the queue and wouldn't have to wait too long. I tried this process and it worked for me after Months of sending mails and webforms. Even getting a gcms note now is daunting task because ATIP In Canada is finding it hard to give people their gcms notes, I feel they are understaffed and overwhelmed. When you get connected to the Call ask for an enquiry, they will give you details on the current stage of your application but don't ask when they'll make a decision on your application, they don't have any information about that and they wouldn't even tell you honestly.

There it is guys I know this post is very long but please bare with me when this method worked for me I had to come here to spread the information, I hope you get your ppr sooner.

#copied ...I got this info from a forum which can be helpful to anyone.

*I personally called yesterday but their client rep were busy but today I called 5mins to 1pm, Nigerian time and waited 30mins till I spoke with someone
