Footballer754:You have to contact an Nigerian Immigration officer from Nigeria, he/she will ask you to send Documents containing LO pp mum/dad pp,babys birth certificate ticket of you and LO then Application letter on babys behalf.. then payment. In naira they will send you the Approval and payment receipt one document to show airline you can also use it to check in online because it will consist of ref/visa number.. then the baby will be stamped on Arrival at the Naija airport.. was easier for me.. 1 Like |

Hello Everyone, I would like to have your input and possibly hear from those who have had this experience. My last missionary journey was in December 2017 and the visa was gotten for medical. I had applied twice in Abuja and was denied on both occasions because according to the VO he felt the discount I was given in 2014 was ridiculous for a self pay without insurance. I tried to explain to him that I presented the invoice from the Doctor to the embassy before being issued a visa and he refused me the visa. I tried the second time but still the same refusal. I was able to secure an emergency appointment in Lagos and I was issued the visa after being asked for my bills, how I intended to pay and all. I stayed for 2 months after which I returned in February 2018. I travelled thrice afterwards with the visa on vacation before expiry in December 2019. Covid hit and I couldn’t renew luckily for me last year November interview waiver for those whose visa had expired within the last 48 months was announced and since I fell into this category I applied and submitted on the 16th of February in Abuja. On the 20th March . I received a message to go get my passport and I was given a letter asking me to schedule a follow up interview (221g). Please would like to know if anyone has experienced this and what was the outcome please. What questions were you asked and what I am l likely to expect? |

Hi guys, I’m new on this thread and I have few questions I’ll like to ask. I got my US b1/b2 visa to go for a conference in May. But I’ll be leaving from the uk. I’ll be 7months pregnant by May, please what do I need to do before travelling aside looking for Airbnb and a hospital. I’ll like to just give birth before heading back to the UK. Will I need to declare at the POE that I’m pregnant? Aside this, what other documents will I need to show to let them know I’ll be going back to the uk since I’m still a student. I’m a bit confused so I can start planing well. Thank you…. |

Hello all, good evening. Pls I have a question. My wife and I had a bad experience during her last pregnancy and we lost the baby due to doctors negligence. Baby came out with birth asphyxia which was surprising because she attended all anti natal. Everything was fine till birth but we lost the baby some days after birth. Now she will take in in few months time and I want her to deliver the child in the US. I’ve never traveled out of Nigerian apart from Ghana same with her. Someone educate me on how I can get visa fast. The process , things I need etc. Do I state the reason of traveling? because I heard interview date is till 2024. Thanks |

Selfkontrol:Yes, you'll need to state the reason why you are traveling among other things too |

Hello everyone, I had my baby in November 2021 in Atlanta but my POE was Newyork and it was easy, I declared I was pregnant and the immigration officer asked how much I had and I declared. As at the time of my interview I told them visa officer holiday because I wasn’t showing at all. I got my visa in June 2021 and it will expiring June 2023 and I plan on using it again as I am due in July . But I will be going in may which means I have 1 month left . I will also be declaring and I hope they let me in for the duration I need to have my baby . I also tried drop box earlier March 2023 and I was not qualified for drop box but I saw somewhere that was because I applied too early. I tracked my application and it went from application received to no status till I picked up and got a yellow paper saying I wasn’t qualified for interview waiver . Do you think I should do another Dropbox before travelling or I should just use my old visa like that? Anyone in this situation? Thank you 🙏 |

Ydforlife: I will advice you use your old Visa, it now depends on how long you will be stamped in. Are you now qualified for drop box? When you did your drop box earlier, where you notified to pick up your passports after the NO STATUS updates. 1 Like |

Mroriginal:Please when was this? Someone just came back to Uk with her new born and was told that for the child to get BRB, that they need to apply outside uk. So they are looking at traveling to Nigeria or back to US and then apply for his BRB |

GFavor: Yes I was notified to pick up my passport and I am now qualified for Dropbox since it’s within the 3 months expiration |

Hello, this was Oct 2019 and we applied for baby BRP after entry in the UK in Feb 2020. The BRP was issued in the UK. Didthey allow the baby that you said came back to the UK in and for how long? Normally US citizens can enter the UK for 6 months. Viola2017: |

Ydforlife: I am also in this situation. My visa expires june and am due in August. I will be leaving Nigeria the middle of June. Usually it’s safer to go through jfk in that situation as that is what I plan on doing. I was advised by different agents to use the visa for the journey before I reapply. Iv read where people drop their passports for drop box and it is held for up to 3 month. You are good to go. Just go through a friendly POE. Also go with your child you had already in the US. |

Ydforlife:Just be sure you enter the us before your visa expires, that is the most important thing . I've heard of people that got in a day before the expiration of their visas and they were stamped in for 6 months. So i think you are good to go. |

Good afternoon house, please I need an advice. I will be going to give birth in Houston and my POE is George bush international airport. I will be going at 28weeks and 2 days. I just want to know if I should declare cuz I am on an B1/B2 visa which I got in 2021. What if I declare and still get turned back? Does anyone have any experience with that POE? |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by dere5: 5:04pm On Apr 05, 2023 |
Yetyb: My advice to you is to declare your intention at the POE. But before you do that, you have to be adequately prepared. And what do i mean by being adequately prepared—: Having a written proff that you've made doctors and hospital appointments. Having proff that you're made adequate accommodation arrangements. Having proff that you've adequate finance to take care of yourself and pay your hospital bills. The above, are areas they are likely to ask you if they have concerns. At the same time you can declear that you are pregnant and they might not even ask you a single question and just stamp you in. I think you're good to go once you have the above covered just in case they ask, you're not likely to be turned back, but as you know, none of us here are cbp officers, we just offer advice to the best of our knowledge. Good luck at POE. 4 Likes |
