What do you mean by most
Yoruba youths are not business-minded? That is outrightly incorrect.

Right from back in the pre-British
Colonial history days till today, long-distance trading, farming, art and craft, blacksmithing, aso oke weaving, tie and dye, building construction, etc, were some of the business-minded skills Yorubas had.
If you are talking of giving more capacity building, business training, and re-training programs to the
Yoruba youth, and all the youth in general, then you will be in order!

Edos, Ebiras, Hausas, etc, are also some Nigerian ethnicities that I know are long-distance business travelers and have some measure of business-minded youths from my business research of over two decades now.


As of 2023, Yorubas including the
youth engage in paid jobs, but
also are in several businesses from the Tech space, computerized vehicle diagnoses, real estate construction business, music business, multibillion Naira confectionary and food businesses, aluminium fabrication and metal works, to shoe manufacturing, to cloths and accessories making, to small and big international trading businesses along the West Coast of Africa (Abidjan, Ghana, Lome, Gambia), to the North, East, and South of Africa, UAE, UK, USA, Canada, etc.


Many folks are a bit biased, insular and do not bother to pay attention to little details around them, trending events, and turning points so they do not even realise that an ethnic group like the Yorubas with over 50 million people are great international travelers and enterprising or business-oriented people. Even some Yorubas (who are not aware through reading up more books and info) also make this error of judgement.
