Happy Palm Sunday, noble colleagues. I heard from someone that we will be promoted to GL 12/11. Has anyone else heard such information?

That memo released is to satisfy the bureaucratic processes required to conduct promotion exercise. Nominal Rolls/Salary vouchers for April reflecting the promotion have been prepared. Just relax and expect promotion salary when April salary is paid.

I don't think so, going by governor one month ultimatum given to civil service commission to complete the whole exercise which was published on 13th March, 2023 the one month will be due on 13th April, 2023. Governor maintains that “So, you are to immediately start the promotion of our civil servants and compute the financial implications of that promotion, all levels of civil servants, no one should be discriminated against.”
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has given a one-month timeline to members of the State Civil Service Commission to complete the promotion of civil servants across all levels in the state.
Since he asked them to compute the financial implications of the promotion, and voucher of monthly payment get to ministry of finance between 15 and 16 of every month, I believed that payment will start this month, since it will be accommodated in this month voucher.
If payment fail to come between this month of April and May, that mean the incoming government may likely not honor it. There will be excuse upon excuse. We better pray let it start this month. The notice for promotional interview might be to fulfill all righteousness.

I don't think you are correct.Not all promotions take 3 months.Some promotion are automatic after the duration.You may not go for promotion interview but the money is added immediately when you are do.most private establishment do not go for interview.Why government agencies go on interview is to no the number of those that have been retired from the last one and because there was no proper record keeping and money was paid by hand .To everything is computerized hence there may not need since the data is available and the last promotion was known.So government may decide not to engage in a rigorous process again.During those days,there was no biometric and such getting information was cumbersome.Today you names are in the computer,last promotion was known, the urgency of the promotion also considers.Forms has been filled to get information in comparism with the voucher.

No be only you wey never collect certificate. I no dey even reason that one for now. Na mass promotion be this. No be only school children wey go dey enjoy mass promotion. Photocopies of your documents don reach where e supposed to dey as evidence. Calm down and leave the rest for God.
