the first one looks like the 2014 wc shirt and I'm not sure what the second is supposed to be? A goal keepers kit or away shirt.

Nike are starting to do too much with this jersey design...

Samuel Chukwueze FT Stats yesterday in Villarreal's 2-0 win in La Liga over Sadiq's Sociedad.

Played 90mins.
38 touches.
1 chance created🌟
1 big chance created🔥
1 Penalty won.
15/19 accurate passes.
79% passing accuracy.
100% dribbling success (5/5).
1 shot on target.
7/9 ground duels won.
5 recoveries.
2 interceptions.
1 clearance.
1 headed clearance.
1 corner taken.
Was fouled twice.
Caught offside twice.

Short analytical notes:
The Manner in which Chukwueze won the penalty leading to the Match Winner for Villarreal before Jackson added a second shows his ability to break defensive lines CENTRALLY (through the middle) with his 1v1 dribbling ability and quick change of pace. More of this and his unpredictability quotient will shoot up anywhere he finds himself across the final third.

Also, a few times yesterday, the way he received the ball in the right half space or penetrated the right half space in the final 3rd in counter attack transitions from where he would create like the one for Yeremy Pino on 78-79mins shows his ability to operate as a pseudo-8 if need be while also still emphasizing his inside forward traits.

He did miss a big chance yesterday even though it was eventually ruled out for offside, had it gone in, but he needs to get his finishing Mojo back. This finishing issue also reared its head during the international break.

Chukwueze also recorded the least touches among players who played 90mins but that is majorly because Villarreal mostly attacked through or played through the left channel.

*Chukwueze recorded the most dribbles (5) in the game. 5 take ons attempted, 5 completed. 100%

Odey goal drought finally destroyed

Stephen Odey scores his first league goal of 22/23 after a 19 games drought.

Game still on.

He now has 1 goal, 1 assist in 20 league games (11 starts).

Also, his 3rd goal of the season across all competitions from 22 games (12 starts).

Before, I will see Chukwueze's stats and be hopeful that he has improved and will be really effectual in the Super Eagles, but now all I see is him coming back again to shoot wide wayward and inaccurate shots that can never find the back of the net. He can't even shoot a direct shot that will at least be on target.
Ordinary R2 weh you go curve with your leg o.

Now, "that" he has to really work on. His break out season in Europe saw him hitting the target with his "trademark" curve shot so it is really really frustrating seeing him miss targets with such frequency now.

That's the reason for this paragraph in my analytical note on him...

TheSuperNerd:

He did miss a big chance yesterday even though it was eventually ruled out for offside, had it gone in, but he needs to get his finishing Mojo back. This finishing issue also reared its head during the international break.

Hopefully he gets his finishing touch sorted. Just needs a bit of calm.

Even defenders can steal a penalty for their team. Anybody can be brought down in a box..that's what I'm saying......

Una too dey hype things that has no need for hype

Nwakali that's a CM can have an excellent game without a goal or assist and I won't have an issue with it and truth be told, nwakali has improved a great deal although I'll still want him to do it in a better league

This same chuks is the same guy he was when he joined villareal seasons ago. No improvement, nothing nothing. By now, he ought to even be a master at setpieces
Kvicha wey meet am for top 5 leagues don become master. We hype mediocrity in Nigeria in the name of my brother, my brother.....
Sorry o nerdie, I no follow for this one wey you do. You said it yourself, he missed a sitter....didn't he?
That's how he will come and play rubbish in another international break and we will all wail here. That's why I've said it that Gift orban should be tried on that wing...so that this complacency will end. In fact, I'm waiting for the day he will be dropped from the SE because I think he has reached his peak and can't do better than he is doing now. Even if na village curse dey follow you, how can you be a la liga attacker for 5 seasons+ and you can't even cross..not just any la liga team but villareal..and you want us to be smiling at winning penalty...man, even my 90yr old grandma can be brought down in the box..its nothing special

I don talk my own. I don't hype mediocrity. Nothing personal nerdie...just saying what I see.

See how osayin Samuel played that wing.ieven feel he should be moved up front while we shop for another right back. So that this overrated mediocre can sit his ass down on the bench or even leave the team.na only him wake come??

angry

Omo... na because Chuks win penalty, you come type this epistle? 😂😂😂

I hope you watched how he won it. He actually took on the Sociedad defence through the middle.

The Dark ELF indeed. How can darkness be impressed? 😁

Anyway, it is not hype. It is only part of an analytical note that also knocked Chuks for his continued profligacy in front of goal.

So relax...🤣🤣
