FirstbornWds: False equivalence.........Roma is a bigger prospect than Everton,Luiz Enrique should have left his mark there and not needing a prime Barcelona to be called a serial winner. |

popizaino: Roma cannot afford the players everton can afford to buy If mourinho and co cannot leave their mark at spurs with their huge spendings ,then you shouldn’t be expecting Enrique to leave a mark at as Roma Roma was his first job after leaving Barca B That’s all I can say |

popizaino: Again, stop comparing Zidane with Pep.. They are miles apart, in terms of coaching ability... Make your point, but do not try to justify anything Zidane achieved and use Pep as a reference... Why? Since you want to make excuses for Zidane's lack of stability and team development at Madrid. Let me set the record straight and give you the real difference between Pep's legacy at Barcelona and Zidane's legacy at Madrid. Stability isn't just about winning back to back to back UCLs. First and foremost, let's talk about stability. Yes, Madrid won the UCL back-to-back-to-back, but what happened after that? They fell apart. Zidane couldn't keep the team together, and they had a very underwhelming performance in La Liga. Meanwhile, when Pep was at Barcelona, he created a system that was built to last. He brought in players who fit his style of play, and he developed young players who went on to become some of the best in the world. Barcelona was dominant for years, and that's all thanks to Pep's stability. Now, let's talk about team development. Yes, Madrid conquered European and world club football, but that doesn't mean they developed as a team. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Madrid relied heavily on individual brilliance from players like Ronaldo, but they never truly developed as a cohesive unit. On the other hand, Pep's Barcelona was the epitome of team development. He created a style of play that was built on passing and movement, and every player on the team had a role to play. They worked together as a team and they dominated the footballing world. As for the argument that Pep couldn't inspire his Barcelona side after winning two UCL in four years, that's just nonsense. Pep's Barcelona went on to win numerous La Liga titles and even another UCL after he left. Meanwhile, Zidane had to come back to Madrid after they fell apart without him. That just goes to show the difference between the legacies that these two managers left, until ANCELOTTI, an old guard happened to Madrid. Simply put, the difference between Pep's legacy at Barcelona and Zidane's legacy at Madrid is clear. Pep brought stability and team development, while Zidane didn't. |

popizaino: Roma didnt have the financial capacity as Everton. But thats not even the comparison. It's between Enrique and Poch, which shouldn't be happening to be very honest. Enrique is not his mate, and by a very very very long stretch. Poch would have to die and resurrect a million and one times to match Enrique's brilliance. 1 Like |

We can beat Liverpool if Chelsea players play hard and make the best use of our chances. It's up to the players now and luck. The interim manager is a greenhorn. If the players want to play European football (if even na Conference League) next season, they've got to give us their A-game. |

Skimpledawg:Yes o. 8 of the 10 teams in the bottom half of the table are facing relegation. Rodgers ran Leicestershire to the ground. They should’ve sacked him earlier. I think Leeds will survive somehow. And Everton too. You see that So’ton ehn? I’m sure they’ll get relegated. And I’ll be happy when it happens. Why? They’ve been brazenly complacent over the years. They sell their top players, don’t replace them and just flirt with relegation. Every season. It’s not surprising that they’re where they are right now. The miracle will be if they don’t get relegated. I fashion Bournemouth to get relegated too. But they can stay up- if they keep their recent performances up and Brennan Johnson doesnt lose form. |

This "long-term project" I dey see everywhere dey look like we could be in for Potter 2.0 especially if Nagelsmann gets the nod and fails to meet expectations. I don't know when Chelsea management go learn. Make dem no give any coach a long-term contract.

Leyqute:To answer this I'd need to look at remaining fixtures for each of the teams from 13th down The only team I'd have said for sure would go down was Southampton, bit even them seem to be in a mini Renaissance lately This one is too close to call. |

🚨 Nagelsmann and his agency Sports360 want to learn more about Chelsea’s long-term plans and how much authority he would have, given how Potter seemed overwhelmed by the number of signings. (@TomRoddy_) sadly they want a yes man |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ballzproblemm: 4:05pm On Apr 04, 2023 |
people saying nagelsmann will have problem with player power unlike Bayern boehly and co actually backs manager, they backed Potter he didn't utilize the authority as he wanted that's on him. why I'm afraid of nagelsmann is he looks like coach that was riding on good fortunes of club he coached ,just Potter ,I don't want a scenario where to implement style of play go take years. |

FirstbornWds:what rubbish has been written here. Zidane has never had a quarter of the recruitment Pep has enjoyed in his poorest financial season. If pep had inherited that Madrid team Zidane got, half of that squad would have ended up playing serie B or in the middle east. Which stupid lack of stability, is it Zidanes fault that no manager was as good as he was that he had to come back and win la Liga even without Ronaldo defeating the whole it's losing Ronaldo excuse, using the very players Madrid fans were cursing and wanting sold. Is it development, don't tell us you are blind about the work Zidane did with vinicius and valverde. Pep created which system, the one Enrique scrapped to win UCL or which one. Pep system only lasted because his assistant took over after him. Which system did Pep put in place for Ancelotti, abeg rest. don't be typing nonsense with confidence, if you want to praise pep, praise pep. Zidane didn't bring stability, wetin Ancelotti dey enjoy na na wetin. If Zidane didn't show Madrid could function without Ronaldo and that Benzema could still be useful, if Zidane didn't bring out Rodrygo, Vinicius and Valverde wetin Ancelotti for do. Ancelotti is good, but apart from Hazard who did Zidane sign for his 2 la Liga and 3UCLs triumphs in Madrid. Some of you think managing Madrid is like soaking garri. "Zidane did not leave legacy but Pep did" nonsense talk 9 Likes |

Leyqute:I agree with what you posited here about Rodgers. Seemed man's heart had left the Foxes and the results show this. Should have been sacked earlier truly. Everton's Sean Dyche has done well so far to steer the Blues out of the relegation zone. I really hope he maintains the results. Soton' will definitely relegate and I truly wish I'd be the on lying when the season ends. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by popizaino(m): 4:11pm On Apr 04, 2023 |
FirstbornWds: Why?......well i will keep using it, since other reasons like Rafa Benitez running real Madrid to the ground before zidane took over keeps falling flat, and losing el-classico at the bernabau while zidane took the same team to win at the nou camp losing the league by just a single point isnt enough to justify Zidane's tactical influence on the team as well as his world class status then we might as well keep bringing pep Guardiola in the equation. FirstbornWds: Was Real Madrid dominating the league before zidane, why should he be questionable to what real Madrid become after he left? Why was the same not said about Ancelotti at Ac Milan? You are just trying very hard to dismiss zidane's achievements looking for whatnot but you forgetting that Barcelona also fell after pep Guardiola's departure that saw them losing shamefully to Bayern Munich in a disgraceful scoreline 8-2 just immediately he left. As you are using Barcelona league dominance to prove your point for pep Guardiola's legacy/stability and whatnot also use real Madrid's dominance in the UCL last season and this season as a reason for Zidane. FirstbornWds: There is no fact here just a Barcelona fan trying to hard to belittle back to back to UCL triumph. FirstbornWds: Until MSN happened to Barcelona, how did they fare in the UCL till date? FirstbornWds: Stability and team development that has seen Barcelona wasted billions of euros on players but still trail real Madrid who hasn't really been active in the transfer market in trophies in recent years? Is that what you call stability? It must have a different meaning to you. |
