I don't even understand why we have to co-host with Benin republic... The two stadiums they presented have 20k and 15k capacity respectively.. Jos stadium (if completed) and Enugu can easily replace them.

Anyway, one of Morocco and Algeria will likely win the bid ..they are more prepared
The last tourney was hosted by a North African country. They might want to change that.

Is he not 20 years old? What is bad in playing for under 23? Oshimen, Nwakali, Chukweze etc played for under 23 few years ago despite playing at football highest level when the match fell within the international window. You spit a lot of nonsense here like someone lacking in intelligence!
How can you expect a guy that got to Europe last year to play for Belgium. Guy?
This shows you don't even watch nor understand Naija football you just come here displaying your pathetic ignorance and surprisingly few same feathers align with your submission. Ridiculous!
typicalgamer:

I second this option or any other country that wants him, ain’t bad if he plays for Belgium u23

I’d rather he gets nothing to do with superu23
Because that’ll be 50 steps backwards

He’s more than capable than any winger in the senior team so i see no reason why he shouldn’t be on the senior team

Proven himself week in and week out

Way better dribbler and lethal finish than all our current wingers

And you expect him to play u23 screw nff

This type of submission from educated peeps is astounding and shocking. Is Messi where he is cos of Argentina or Ronaldo cos of Portugal? How can one believe such type of news?
Even Dennis that refuse to go to AFCON was not blacklisted! lol
He is a different kind of player from Awo, Sadiq and Moffi. He is needed in the Super Eagles and he would play for Nigeria. He is a proud Naija boy!!
AndSunGorilla:

We are thinking alike my oga and you be undisputed great mind, maybe I am one too grin. In my opinion for personal glory, he may just become the next Adebayor for Togo. at this rate, Gift doesn't need Nigeria to get to wherever he wants to get after all no be say he is where he is now because of 9ja. Another challenge for him is that, he can't bench Osimhen and it will be a war for him with Moffi, Awoniyi and Sadiq still young and playing. Let's not use him as a winger, he's a striker, finish!!!!

You mean CHAN? Ivory Coast will host the next one, so I don't think it should affect Morocco or Algeria bid

We are not co-hosting with Benin. Benin is the one co-hosting with us! It is two different things. Nigeria really didn't have the intention but Benin asked for our help. Why not? when we have the stadiums, just needed few renovations here and there!

Same backward thinking Is why you’re still using mtn pulse bonus 10mb to insult your father

Why on earth must he play in u23

When he’s currently on form more than his super eagles counterparts??

If you’re retarded go left ya hear me ?

Go force am play na !!

You gay
I remember when Osihmen was dropped to the U23 to play and dude didn't have issue about that.
Orban is doing well but the fact still remains that he was not needed during the last window in the Super eagles because he could only observe proceeding from the bench. Why not go to the U23 where your services are needed.

And what’s the point of playing with the u23 ??

So he should go to the Olympics when season is going on ?

Do you know how many players that decision has came back to bite back??

I totally respect his decision and it’s to his benefit we didn’t qualify self.

Man is having the season of his life where he can get a decent bump in salary and what y’all want is for him to play for u23 and gain absolutely nothing.

That’s foolishness na

It won't hurt to invite Gift Orban to the NT ahead of the next remaining Afcon qualifier games which we should be able to seal against Sao Tome with nothing left to play for against Sierra Leone, at least that way we get to ease him in slowly into the team...I mean giving the kid a cameo of the bench in a hopefully done and dusted game won't hurt right? Needless to mention there will be international friendly windows coming up where he can be fully accessed with new players. Much ado about nothing sha...

This is what I’m saying, but some people wants him to play u23 for 6 years first and wait till all our mediocre wingers fade out before they call him to NT

Wait for your turn mentality

I keep saying this archaic thing is one of the major crap in our football in Nigeria. Others are seeing young fiery talents, on form, and doing the needful. But we rather use the same old rubbish excuse of "mental and physical development" or whatever that means to just totally bypass them.

Something similar is happening with the Super Falcons with Esther Onyenezide and co.
One can't even remember the last u17 player to play in the Super Eagles in a long long while.

We go dey alright.

What makes Gift Orban bigger than the U23s?

Has he shown more promises than his predecessors who started from the U23s such as David Okereke, Osimhen, Dennis, Awoniyi, Imoh Ezekiel etc.

Who is the captain of Ivory Coast U23? A Chelsea first team player - Datro Fofana.

Where does Afena Gyan play for Ghana?

What level is Badiashile with France, and Madueke etc with England?

What did Gift do to warrant a call up for the super eagles in their recent gathering?

Is he better than players who have gone to the Olympics? Neymar was even making waves than this and he still played in the Olympics.
Which of our wingers will he displaced? Someone yet to play a high profile match in his career is the person you are hailing as if he plays week in and out for a Top European club in a Top European leagues.
That was how we advocated for Paul and till date he's yet to nail a starting place. And Paul did better numbers than him
