Last I checked it was 10B from Federal Revenue; 15 or 12B from oil/royalties - which was immediately converted into stupid fuel subsidies;
So basically usable revenues are 10B;
Usable forex I hear are about 15B; far cry from official figures;
Just like forex exchange going by black market is almost double the official rate.
Nigeria has been in the red for sometime - with debt servicing ration long exceeding 100%.

What is stopping your from defaulting is just national pride.
- you rather pay 100% of all money to service debt
What is also stopping your from devaluaing Naira is the same national pride.

Eventually you must confront the your economic demons if you want to stop manufacturing poverty at industrial scale like you're doing now - and your federal gov is totally dysfunctional.

GeneralDae:

The 10 Billion you got from your ass without proof? If you can't give proof, then the argument becomes a waste of time.

You said if naira is devalued, but naira has not been devalued.

Expect more hunger this year in Kenya especially with dollar selling at 145kshs

A weak shilling has pushed the debt up by another 351 billion shillings... What a shit show

This means Kenya borrowed on the domestic market not in shillings but in dollars as well.

You guys are ready stupid

Give me data from a reliable source not Steve Hanke. You and your fellow Kenyans are the only one ones here who takes that clown seriously.

The Nigerian revenue from FIRS (taxes) at the federal level only was 10.1 trillion naira in 2022 which is 23 Billion dollars at federal level only.
Estimated revenue for this year is also same 10 trillion naira though it may likely surpass that.
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 12:10pm On Apr 05, 2023
23 billion - okay - minus oil subsidy of 12B - remainder 11B - minus debt servicing of 11B - BROKE.
You then go to borrow to pay salaries and recurrent expenditure at crazy interest rates.
Ideally you should default - and stop borrowing. Then address that mess.
But you fear being laughed out like Ghana

You mean they also borrowed from their domestic market in dollars? A massaging shillings indeed. Even their local bank don't want to trade buisness in local shillings. Very horrible .

1) massive external debt
2) money is LEAVING country
3) they rely on USD (!!) REMITTANCES
4) Current acct is extreme negative
5) massive trade imbalance

Stop projecting and go talk to you buddies in the list below. Everytime a Ghanian talk macro-economics - I want to literally puke. WHAT ARE YOU SAYING

Fitch Ratings-London-29 March 2023: There have been 14 separate default events since 2020, across nine different sovereigns, a marked increase compared with 19 defaults across 13 different countries between 2000 and 2019, says Fitch Ratings in a new report. A record five Fitch-rated sovereigns are in default: Belarus, Lebanon, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Zambia

Default or end Fuel Subsidy.
Peter Obi manifesto had diagnosed the problem.
Will your old TINUBU deliver?

Ending fuel subsidy will give "injenct" 12B to Nigeria gov.

Yes and ECG has managed to kul them down by going on debt collection. No dumsor will happen here untill 2024 when Ghana will have fully consumed all of it surplus electricity.

Ghana does not use diesel for electricity, learn sense. And they don't have to pay for gas, they just have to owe Ghana Gas and ECG and govt will sort it out.😂

You're so desperate such that you can't even type properly..

Half of Kenya is still in darkness in this day and age while Israeli companies rip you guys off. 😂🤣
