I submitted my application on the 3rd of April. Received an email today to book my appointment but the earliest appointment I got is May 22nd.

Is bad lol I was hoping to get an early date. May 22nd is too far. I don't know is its possible to change the appointment to an earlier date if a spot opens up.

Same thing just happened to me. My IW date was April 28 and I got an email today saying it’s now been brought forward to March 13th. That’s in 4 days. And my issue is my passport is currently at the Canada visa office for stamping of TRV. If I don’t get it back tomorrow, I can’t make this new IW appointment. So wrong how they just assume you have no set plans

You can reapply right away. For visa applicants who required a visa interview , the visa interview appointment wait time in Lagos right now is more than a year. If you apply now, your appointment will be around mid-2024.

I paid for Qatar airlines last month at GTbank and my ticket was sent to my mail within 30 mins. You can use the book on hold option if you want to use Qatar air, after filling in your details on their website, the airline will send a mail to you with your reference number and their account numbers for GT and standard chartered bank. you can make payments at the bank by filling a teller and your ticket will be sent to your mail. ( from my research, i think Qatar airline tickets are more affordable than others.)

Good day everything, I went for my scheduled appointment today with my family but we were denied.

V.O: morning, may I have your passports?
Me: I gave it to him
V.O: any traveling experience?
Me: No
V.O: where are you going to
Me: Miami Florida and I told him what’s taking us there
V.O: what do you do
Me: I told him
V.O: continued typing
V.O: sorry you are ineligible at this time and I don’t have anything to tell u about it. Then handed over a blue paper to us.


Pls how long before one can reapply because we met all the criteria that he told us that we aren’t eligible about.

The V.O was mean and sort of rude. I pray anyone on here doesn’t meet that kinda man.

You mean I can reapply immediately? even after we have been turned away the first time just yesterday the 4th of April, 2023. I made an expedited appointment which was approved and that was why we got an earlier date. If I reapply, I will also make an expedited appointment and would my status have changed yet to be able to get a new date? Thanks 😊

It’s based on medical grounds for my son who is supposed to be having a surgery on the 30th of May 2023. So that’s the reason why I’m going to be making an expedited appointment. Besides, the consular officer didn’t even ask if there are any supporting documents to back up our claims, like the letter that was addressed to the embassy from the hospital in the United States. Thanks 😊

Hi, I got the mail this afternoon and saw a date in April but the appointment confirmation looks more like an interview appointment. The appointment detail has the address of the consulate which is quite different from IW confirmation that I know.

How were you able to check the status. I've been trying to log in since yesterday but I keep getting the message that their servers are down.

I dropped my application about 21 days ago too and it's still saying "Application Received".

I guess so. I'm able to track the visa process on the "caec" site. Can't access the "cgi" one, which talks about whereabouts of the passport, etc
