Kenya to launch its first ever satellite into space

Is the Kenyan satellite actually built by KENYAN engineers? Or did the chinese build and fund it for you and launched it into space using the lanuch pad in US, Texas?

Edit:

Nevermind.

It was built and developed by Kenyan engineers which is most admirable but they are using the American launch pad to send it into space, Californian Vandenberg Space Force Base. Nowhere in Africa has built a launch pad as of yet so they have to rent out other countries launch pads to send anything into space. What I find to be bullshit though is the Kenyan officials reasoning for not building the materials locally due to the cost. If they weren't so busy looting the national coffers, they could have built it locally.

Only Nigeria is still working on a launch pad. It would be the first in Africa when it finally comes to fruition.

To be honest, if they love Kagame and he is good for the country, I see nothing wrong with this. It's only wrong if he is the one imposing this on the people.

I'm happy Accra is already a world class city because we didn't make it pavement-less such that we had to go and borrow 300 million dollars to correct a big mistake.

A mistake we weren't senseless to commit 😂🤣😂

All roads come with pavement as a standard practice

Neat streets of Adabraka

So many things wrong bro, A developed economy don't build just strong men but strong institution, with strong men , the development only last when they are alive or with the power but with strong institution, the development last forever.

Using libya as an example , Libya was already a fully developed country when Gaddafi was in power, Gaddafi was so strong , he made Libya achieved almost all the millinium goals development agenda set by UNO way back early 2000 but libya failed and become a third world country after gaddafi died, Assuming it was strong institution libya built, the development agenda will have continued like what we have in UK, germany and western power, No matter who becomes a leader , there exist a pattern of development every leader must follow regardless of who you are. What africa needs is strong institution not strong men who keeps holding on to power as long as they care.

Strong men only last for a limited time , strong institution last forever .

There is nothing worthy of progress in Rwanda , if you talk about neatness , do you mean clearing all the homeless children and placing them in concentration camp is the way to go? When we can gradually build a formidable economy to absorb them all. There is poverty in rwanda more than Benin republic, rwanda is only hiding it(Kigali is not just Rwanda , Even kigali is not a standard city that can measure up to cotonou) .

Even in the street of london there exist homeless beggers , they aren't put in concentration camp like rwanda kigali , the economy gradually absorb them and they gradually reduce and off the street .

Stop believing in propaganda, nothing works there .

Bro, do u believe the people of Rwanda truly wants him to stay, hope u know kagame is a dictator.
And every information coming out of Rwanda is strictly monitored by the govt.
And of course every dictator will surely tells u he was truly voted in by the people.
To even contemplate the idea of doing more than eight years in power doesn't speak well on the democracy of the country.
So is Rwanda democratic or dictatorship.

Kagame is a benevolent dictator who truly understands his peoples needs, not corrupt and visionary. Uganda and Tanzania the other hand, are ready for a political revolution.

Lagos is arguably the African city that is developing the fastest.
The largest rice mill in Africa was launched some time ago, the world's largest single train refinery will be finished this year, and the largest free trade zone in Africa, the Lekki free trade zone, is also under construction. We also shouldn't forget about the Lekki airport, the 4 mainland bridge, and the Eko Atlantic

I have gone to kigali and deep into rural Rwanda. Rwanda is real. The question of whether it can outlast Kagame is poignant. The same fate has befallen Ethiopia and South Africa. Yes, strong institutions are important. Kagame has done excellent job. He just need to find a succesor like him to the mantle forward.

Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and of course most of middle east are example of dictatroship that transition into proper developed countries - and eventually build institutions.

Dictatorship has nothing to do with development. China is good example of great dictatorship that has developed.

They are NOT mutual exclusive.

Yes of course democratic strong independent institution is great on its own but a country will not go down for lacking one.

Ghana is good example - Jerry Rawlings - eventually transitioned you back into democracy - from military dictatorship.

Rwanda has certain peculiarities that make democracy now and in the future difficult - as minority Tutsi at 10 percent - will simply be killed by 90 percent majority Hutus like happen in 1960s (sending Kagame to Uganda as small boy refugee) and in 1990s.

Rwandese Tutsi have to find a formula of democracy that will work for them - popular vote is an existential threat to their very existence - and Kagame & his successor are likely to have tight control of institution - just like Isreal has to deal with Palestine in Isreal using crude methos.

1- $25Billion Dangote Refinery Lagos, Nigeria Ready to Use
The cost of this project is far more than the cost of all projects in Kenya, and not even in Nairobi, and what makes it unique is that it is privately owned rather than being held by the government.

China is not a dictatorship.... Infact it is the most decentralized country on this entire planet effectively govern from the very local of levels.
It has more political parties in it congress than both houses of the US combined

Or very strong federalism. Either another Sani Abacha or you allow States basically to act as independent countries like US - with federal gov in Abuja only dealing with foreign affairs.

Whatever is there is totally dysfunctional.
