What you should understand is that when the value of dollar depreciates, it means the Naira is doing well thereby affecting the costs of commodities.
Our economy will do better when the value of dollar depreciates against our local currency.

Op, it's normal for people to develop cold feet when making important decisions like marriage, relocation etc. So I understand you perfectly.
The are critical questions your write up fails to address.
1. Who is about to de-emphasize dollars?
2. How will it happen ie which policy have been initiated to achieve this?
3. What's the probability it will work if such policy already exist ?
4. What if the policy worsens the situation?

From my personal experience,you can't make long term significant decision based on government policies and pronouncements, policy summersault is a constant feature of government in Nigeria. Seek the face of God or make decision based on verifiable facts.

LOL,so because $ will be deemphasized(to use your words) i am assuming you mean countries like China, Iran ,Russia,SA, Venezuela etc wanting to trade in a different currency, the value of the $ would plummet to $250 -#1 without Nigeria doing a thing right?
