Unlimited22: Comparing Medicine to some of these courses is just apples and oranges. Doctors are licensed. Not all courses need a license to operate. You spent more than 6 years in school. Some tech bros never went to one; YouTube and Coursera did it for them I don't know why you are comparing Medicine to Teaching |

izzou:And you have forgotten that the japa wave skyrocketed in the last 3yrs because of this government especially after EndSars happened and country got even more bleeped up. Nigerian admission rate into UK schools jumped over 200% in 2021 and still climbed last year again. Proof of funds became a hustle from last year. Why wasnt it this bad during the times of PDP? Again you think everybody that japas actually wants to japa.. Nor be so guy. Pay them better and people will stay. Fix the country and it will further flatten the curve. Infact just sorting out insecurity and paying them better will reduce the japa wave of doctors very well... |

Unlimited22: This. I have 5 doctor friends and none of them has been successful with japa yet. All of them have Japa intentions but the truth is, japa is not easy menh. Contrary to what most people think, they don't issue out visas when you take the Hippocratic oath. You still have to compete with other japasexuals such as yourself. My advice, do nothing. People will japa and people will still remain. Life moves on. Not wanting people to improve their lives because it benefits you is selfishness. 2 Likes |

DeadPresidents:Let izzou go and check how much it takes to write PLAB 1 and 2, not to talk of USMLE Steps 1-3 Even me sef, if I wan go place like Canada, e go bloody because our curriculum isn't recognised there. I have to do Express entry first, then pay for a bridging program at the University of Waterloo after I become a permanent resident, THEN take licensing exams from the Canadian Optometric Association before I even become eligible to see a patient under supervision. Money and time wey person for use dey advance life for Nigeria if we even had the basics. 1 Like |

Unlimited22: 90% of the time, the money motivates people, and i will not be hypocritical about it. Nigeria is bad and bad, yet legit billionaires and millionaires are living here, working here and doing business here. OasisX:Please you people should leave this yeye thing and face actual issues. The state of California alone contributed 93 million metric tonnes of CO² in 2021 meanwhile the figure for all the countries in Africa was around 400 million metric tonnes. Africa as a continent contributes less than the top 15 American states. Less than 5% of the world total. We have problems with multidimensional poverty. Hunger and starvation. Lack of education. Lack of access to healthcare, potable water and education. Infant mortality. The brain drain. Please we have more pressing issues than listening to Greta Thunberg and her cronies. 7 Likes 1 Share |

I can understand why the Government would want to lockdown doctors by law sha, there's not a lot of money in the bank to pay a competitive wage, and if you let all the doctors go, then people will die, possibly in their millions. However, this should prove the writing on the wall for anybody still optimistic for tbe future of Nigeria, if the Government is forced to handcuff its doctors to prevent them from leaving. Nigeria is doomed. Know this and Japa. 13 Likes 4 Shares |

izzou:I've been reading comments on this thread and the opposing side is yet to proffer a viable solution to the question you asked, I get tired and sick of reading comments of Nigerians online, they criticize everything, when you ask them to come up with solutions, they write more bullshiit, how much can you possibly pay Nigerian doctors to prevent them from leaving Nigeria? Please be realistic, can you pay doctors $5k - $10k monthly in Nigeria? I'm sure if the government offers to pay around that range 80% will still japa as the funding for japa would have been made easier. I'm not in support of the bill, people pay almost nothing to get a medical degree compared to their counterparts in developed countries, what can we possibly and realistically do as a country to curtail the rate of japa in the medical field? 3 Likes 1 Share |

The kind of things I read here ehh. Someone posted "Yorubas will not tolerate their elders being insulted" citing Wole Soyinkas diatribes today. Also adding that Yorubas will defend Tinubu. See me laughing in hypocrisy. So what of Obasanjo and pa adebanjo who have been the target of the Batists vitrol? Abi, Is there any worse Insult than wishing the destruction of one's entire lineage? More recently what of the mockery of bishop Oyedepo by Batist because of the leaked call, is Oyedepo not Yoruba enough?? yeye dey smell. And the mistakes these foolish tribalists keep making is labelling the Obidient movement an igbo cum ipob movement, like? Are you guys blind or what? Obi just won won more states in Nigeria than Tinubu (including Rivers) and you're still coloring the movement as an igbo one. Abi you didn't see the 60 thousand votes obi got in Adamawa state? Or the 300k votes in Kaduna state Or the margin he used to win all the federal Capital Territories of Nigeria, from Abuja to Lagos to crossriver. What about Benin people of Edo State? Tiv and idoma people of Benue State? Nasarawa nko? They jonse una self. 1 Like |

Let's look at the strongest voices of the Obidient movement on social Media. The most influential voices with high followings. Aisha yusufu: Edo State. FS Yusuf; Edo State. David hundeyin: Ogun State. Firstladyship; Rivers State. Chude; Anambra State Rinu oduola; Yoruba. Ndi Kato: Kaduna state. The Oracle; Kaduna state ; Anambra State. I don't know if I missed any but you can clearly see that on this list of the most influential Obidients on social media, the Igbos are vastly outnumbered. Of obi's INEC officially numbers (rigged), other tribes outnumber the igbo votes. Igbo votes are clearly less than 50 percent of obi's numbers so why is this movement still being coloured as an igbo tribal movement?? How can't these people see that Obidients are simply the ordinary Nigerians who are tired of the devilish leadership of Nigeria and what to totally upend the status quo. Not all these nonsense about "political games" and "long term strategy" nonsense that have brought is to where we are today? The Yoruba Obidients were at the forefront of those calling out Soyinka for his honestly Vey diabolical and foolish statement. Calling Obidient movement fascists, while being selectively blind to the group of supporters that are now actually weaponising state agencies to silent dissent or throwing random accusations of treason charges to intimidate political opponents. How can Soyinka not expect to be called out for such a foolish take? How do you say something soo blatantly false and not expect push back? The same Soyinka who was at the forefront of the fight against Jonathan now comes around to say the rubbish he's saying today? Common! 1 Like 1 Share |

Your oga is the recipient of a stolen mandate and if justice runs its course, he will not smell that seat bit of course I'm already sure you're celebrating the fact that the compromised court of technicalities would continue it's streak of judicial injustices. To you, what the hell is justice?? Bat didn't win Rivers but it was declared for him nonetheless, "and so what"? Am I right hoesis?? Bat suppressed his opponents voices with his boys in Lagos, but "who the fvck cares"? Am I right hoesis? Continue your bare chested evil, boy. It would catch up with you. 1 Like |
