Life After Nysc: Where Do I Go From Here? by Goodboy2000(m): 3:57pm On Apr 07, 2023 |
Admin, should please move this to the front page as i need urgent advice. I am a serving corp member in Asaba with about 2 months to pass out, already thinking of what to do after service. I grew up in Onitsha Anambra state which I don't want to go back to after service, staying here in Asaba is kind of expensive because I am considering starting up a business here with my little saves but the cost of living here is very here for somebody like who's just starting life. Now, I am considering relocating to Lagos for cosmetics business with about 1.5m, which I don't know how profitable it is. NB: I also need a profitable business idea apart from the cosmetics business. Thank You. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is a life of typical hard working igbo boy. From the scratch to something big. Pls,dont go to Lagos...find your way to Abuja and avoid tribalistic folks over there. I moved to Abuja with just 300k as an igbo boy...after ten good years,I have done well for myself. I came to Abuja immediately I finished service. Move to a place where the real indigenes see u as a brother and not a land grabber perse. They see u as one who has come to contribute to the growth of their land and not see u as a competitor. U will soon understand me,Abuja is a place for all and time will tell if I am lying. Dont get me wrong,i was born in Lagos but I chose Abuja over all other state in Nigeria. For me,i think u have a good capital to start a cosmetic business and I personally wish u the best in all your endeavours. Life is better here, food is the cheapest ever, yes house rent is high, transportation is one of the cheapest too. U are sure of meeting good people including the indigenes who are most friendly and good to be with. If u give yourself a target,u can make a whole lots of money,as in good money. I came in around 2007,went back and returned fully around 2008 and I started my business in 2012. For eleven years,I have made legitimate money with little. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Goodboy2000:Never jump into any business you don't have knowledge about. What business do you have passion for? If you choose to learn comestic business Google the best cosmetic company in Asaba, give yourself 3 year and learn as much as you can after all you spent 4 years in school I will advise you to go to Ugbolu, Ilah or Ukala houses are cheaper there. (Most especially UKala, you can even get it for free) If you intend starting a business in Asaba, what do you think is lacking in your present environment that you can provide solutions to |
