So the car was overheating and turns out the radiator fan motor is dead. So the guy replaced it. After the repair on the first night a car that starts one time now takes like 5 seconds for the engine to turn over. However this problem stopped the next day and it now starts only once. However the next day the temperature gauge was going up fast like it was overheating and when I put off the ac the temp gauge comes back to normal. So am thinking has this guy messed up the car ? Left the car untouched for two days and drove it now and it's perfect. The temp gauge is stable where it needs to be and car starts one time. I guess my question is when you do major repairs do the new pArts installed have to be recognised and does this destabilise the whole system and cause it to malfunction before it finally recognises the repairs and everything stabilises and comes back to normal

That's why its always advisable to use a high end scanner clear existing error codes after the issue has been rectified

Bro, calm down naa.
Last December, my car was throwing up P2185 for the ECT sensor 2 at the radiator and when scanning, it was showing me a cooling error at my engine. Luckily I had another ECT sensor I bought which I have not used. I called this rewire guy and we changed it, yet error code refused to clear. I fixed the old back and the code remained. I emptied my radiator and changed coolant, same issue.I was having drivability issues as my engine bay was vibrating a low speeds with AC on and at such periods, my RPM keeps dropping. One day, I was in traffic and I saw my temp rising, I switched off the Ac and called my mech. He asked me to bring the car in. All these while, he has been asking me to bring it but no time. I went straight to his place. I started the car and immediately they observed one of my fans wasn't working. I bought a new fan. Immediately it was fixed, I scanned the car there and that error code cleared. I have not had that code again.

So you think it was the defective fan that stored the error code in ECU..

You are right Sir
