Donake:yes.. If money is paid into your account without you properly knowing the source. It will be forfeited. Except you are a criminal yourself and don't want to return it. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Eriokanmi:what if someone transferred money into your account without your knowledge and it's drug money.. The only way the government can get the money from you is by a forfeiture by a court order, what if i have a friend who does not have an account in the USA and he claimed someone want to pay him money for a service or purchase and he needs a USA account you provide your account and the money was deposited, you didn't touch it only to find out it was drug money.. The only way the government to get the money is to find out is you are involved in the drug trade if you not.. The law same with Nigeria law with the USA is for the court to order a forfeiture the money that does not make you a criminal. TO me tinubu adversaries are not knowledgeable enough. What they should have gone after is not the money or forfeiture but transcripts of what really led to the forfeiture... This man has been a Senator, A governor now a President elect and President in few weeks time now all this while none of them tried to find out what really happened but wasting our time online and lawyers smiling away with millions from court. Find out what really happened if he is innocent leave him alone abeg the country has spoken.. If he is not then bring ur facts out in court.. Let's move forward abeg.. Not all this nonsense issues of a case that have been thrashed 2 decades ago.. Are the people paying this lawyers not smart at all.. Don't they ask questions? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Tntsi: 1) President Buhari sidelined Tinubu immediately after the 2015 Presidential election - Tinubu's drug trafficking offences. Nobody can even swear today that Buhari truly backs Tinubu to succeed him. 2) A president Goodluck Jonathan sidelined Tinubu - Tinubu's drug trafficking offences. Tinubu started plot against Jonathan's downfall. 3) A president Yar'adua never had anything to do with Tinubu till he died - Tinubu's drug trafficking offences. 4) A president Obasanjo sidelined Tinubu, and even denied then gov Tinubu any access to federal allocations to Lagos State for many years - Tinubu's drug trafficking offences. 3 Likes |

Comelysync:Interesting days ahead. Go and read what tinubu said in response. How can you receive such money without your knowledge when it wasn't Nigeria bank where anything goes? Tinubu claimed he shared an apartment with drug traffickers but didn't know what those guys did for a living but he went ahead and gave them over 5 bank accounts belonging to you? Haba! Only by miracle will he escape this. Now I know why Biden has refused to congratulate Tinubu. They had his records 2 Likes 1 Share |

Donake:yes a government can.. And you are right.. The lawyers should ask questions of what really happened that led to the forfeiture not bothering us with unnecessary issues, what if you have a foreign account and your friend asked you can you receive money for him on his behalf and you never knew where the money comes from and you think or trust your friend it was legit and it was done.. The FBI came knocking and you prove to them you actually knew nothing about it and you forfeited the money from your account will that make you a criminal? Unless maybe there was a plea bargain.. Even if there was what was the terms, just like you said I think at this point the American government should come out and tell the world what really happened and let this man Tinubu rest and face the task ahead. Tinubu is our next president we like it or not. |

Eriokanmi: Stop capping! I have worked in America's I.T and financial industry for over 13 years now and I can tell you the money laundering landscape in the 80s and 90s is completely different to what we have now post 9-11. It's the same principle how the whites are falling for yahoo scams in which they think they are accepting legit money from clients not knowing it is proceeds from crime. Go and ask any veteran yahoo guy, he'll tell you how easy it was in the 90s and early 2000s compared to now, ordinary checks wey dey clear immediately now you got to wait at least 2-5 days for the full amount, life evolves. |

PulaPower: Beware of false documents. Tinubu's forfeiture of $460000 to a government and the government still wrote that it had no record of crimes against the person who forfeited the money? Forfeiture is not the same as petty fine which one pays for minor offences like drunk driving, driving without a licence, driving an off-road vehicle, and other misdemeanours. For Tinubu to have forfeited that huge sum of money implies there was a criminal offence committed by Tinubu. |
