the only way dino could have won is with Atiku backing him financially. the guy is imho stone broke. PDP is also broke. Adeleke did not win because of PDP support, but because he had the adeleke resources to prosecute the election. even if buhari militarizes the election to neutralize bellos thuggery, Dino does not even have significant grassroots support.

so a broke politician in a broke party without a significant political base in a state run by a lower case wike.



i suspect that Dino had at a point been banking on his campaign being bankrolled by Wike. dino is in a bad place. like the rest of PDP, they shafted wike, and they have nothing to show for it other than the closure of the money conduit from PH. assuming Wike's Godfather gambit in PH works out, any money disbursed from PH to PDP will be in measured trickles.
