Postponement of Commencement of LGA Level Training:

1. I am directed to inform you that, sequel to emerging issues, concerning the upcoming LGA training, that was scheduled to commence on Thursday 13th April 2023, all arrangements should be put on hold till further notice

The National Population Commission has announced plans to accredit the Enumerators and Supervisors before Training, as the commission concludes preparation to train and deploy 623,797 Enumerators, 125,944 Supervisors Nationwide. The Commision on Friday disclosed that the Accreditation is to Validate the Enumerators and Supervisors before the Training day, to enable the Participants identify their designated Training Centers. NPC added that the Accreditation will also verify the participants' availability for the LGA Level Training and ensure smooth commencement of the Training on the main Training day, 11th April, 2023

According to the Npc ,the accreditation has been slated on Monday 10 April .

Venue of the Accreditation is the LGA where the Enumerators and Supervisors were Screened. That is, LGA chosen by participants during the NPC Recruitment Registration. The Time for the Accreditation is 8:am to 4:PM. NPC Enumerator and Supervisor Adhoc Staff Applicants are to present themselves for the Accreditation regardless of receiving Text/ Email Training Invitation or not, with a valid means of Identification and NPC Print Out containg NPC ID Number. Enumerator and Supervisor Applicants with PENDING Application Status should appear on the day of the Accreditation to recieve final decision on their fate.

Training is suspended till further notice. That is the message we got from the npc chair in my LGA on WhatsApp yesterday around 9pm

For enumerators 12 days training allowance is 120k pluse feeding and transportation fee of 4k each day for the 12 days.

It's based on the supplementary election scheduled this weekend. Npc does not plan ahead, same way they are saying no holiday, but will end up having holiday

The postponement might be due to delay encounter in distribution of material to the various local government. They might shift the training to Thursday or Friday this week, because there is no time left.

Seems they might push the census to another date, because this postponement is too much.

There will be no public holiday, the census is de-facto i.e persons would be counted or enumerated were they are at the time the census functionaries visit unless they are returning to their base within the census time frame.
