In the various principal are different ADMINISTRATIVE prowess.
Some can do some duty as office demand while others assign them, as deemed fit.
This call is something the office can handle, these information are with them,neither in the nominal roll or in the staff files.
Get the information needed and sent without reaching the staff is one way while asking the staff to send is another way.
If your principal ask for them, just send AND if your principal did not ask for them, it mean, its being sent for you.

How True is it that each step is 3000 to be added to your salary?

Except the law have change, each increase in step attracts 3% of employer's salary.
To add, except the mode of calculation have also change,
.............a rise in step from step 1-3, has a waiting period of one year.
..............a rise in step from step 4-6, has a waiting period of two years.
...............a rise in step from step 7-9, has a waiting period of three years.

This is why when we came onboard, 3% of 65k was about 2k and for those that benefitted in that one-day-open-window for increment, they had about that amount added to them.
In all, let's wait to see the SGL and step that we will be assigned.

13th of April will be exactly one month deadline given by the governor for promotion and preparation of financial implications. 7 more days to go, with Friday and Monday declared Easter public holidays by Federal government, we now have only Tuesday and Wednesday as working day before Thursday deadline. Government already have our details, the task is to add the additional money reflecting the new level, which is expected to reflect in our April salary.

Am not sure, any teacher would deliberately pay to waec, to swap with his own colleague in the same school. However, because, of the business/money part, many teachers pay for slot that are allocated to some school(mainly private schools) which do not field candidate as supervisor.
Waec and ministry engage in slot racketing to fill such. Any teacher, interested on the one hand and have the selling price fund for the slot gladly come in here, to buy and also make their money back.
Nonetheless, if the scenario given above is the whole truth, then, they is more than meet the eyes between the two teachers.

4,000 Rivers Civil Servants To Benefit From Promotions Exercise

The Rivers State Civil Service Commission says over 4,000 civil servants who are due for promotion will benefit from the ongoing promotion exercise for civil servants in the state.
Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Clifford Walter Ndu, said this in an interview with newsmen at the Commission’s office in Port Harcourt.
Ndu said the exercise will cover the period between 2013 to 2022, and so far a number of ministries and over 703 civil servants have been verified.
Ndu said the Commission will ensure that a thorough job is done through physical verification of affected civil servants, adding that all ministries and their parastatals will be physically verified.
The Chairman also said the Commission is working to meet the target dateline given by the Governor, stressing that arrangements will also be made for spilled over cases.
For the advertised recruitment exercise into the service, he said the Commission will commence the process for the recruitment from the 10th of April 2023.
“So far so good, the exercise has commenced. You can see the number of persons and ministries we have verified.
“So far it has proceeded as expected. For employment of ten thousand youths of Rivers State, recalled that two weeks ago, we went on air and came up with a website dedicated for the recruitment.
“The applicants have applied through the website,” Ndu said.
He advised civil servants to be orderly, adding that everyone will be attended to.

4,000 maybe for core ministries.....right civil servants in Rivers State is upto 30 something thousand or more

Please I want to ask the house if it is possible for a teacher in a state government school (primary) to transfer/move to ministry (State/federal). My sister got a teaching job, despite advertising position for Bsc and Msc/Med only for her to be employed with Med i.e. her name came out with Med/Msc but placed on grade level 8 Step2 according to her appointment letter, coupled with meagre pay, now she is depressed and confused, want to know if their is anything she could do to Savage the situation or if she could wait and cross to the ministry where she would be able practice her field of study since she doesn't have educational qualification to qualify her for teaching. Anyone that have gone through or know someone gone through similar experience before or have ideas in what she can do to remedy this situation?. Thanks for your anticipated assistance.
