Is Glaucoma patient a good candidate for LASIK surgery? I'm thinking of going for LASIK to correct myopia but with this glaucoma too I don't know if I am a suitable candidate for LASIK.

Cc: optm
It's isn't absolute that glaucoma patients cannot do LASIK but then it is for the surgeon to decide if it can be safe to be done in that patient or opt for other alternative that's safer for that person

I notice that the more the ache/strain the more far objects go blurry and my vision has gone worse on the left eye. 5 years eye ache/strain has damaged my left eye. I remove the glasses at times when the ache becomes ubearable all still the same. I feel the pain to the back of my head too. At times the pain would be so unbearable with a burning sensation in the eyes that I would try to avoid phone and computer for days so that the eye can relax. I am sad. My eye muscle are now weak right?
you should go for an eye examination.

GOOD MORNING DOCTOR,MAY THE LORD LIFT YOU HIGHLY.I AM IN my 40's.books are my favorite thus i do a lot with such either online or offline.i noticed my vision gets blurred over time n would have to strain to see even things around.but when i am relaxed i am okay as i can see objects close n distance well.but it looks as if a small veil or wool is been pulled over my right eyes some times. i also noticed every time EAT VEGETABLES,D SIGHT IMPROVES VERY WELLbut we hardly get vegetable here neither carrot.normally i love vegetable n carrot but ever since i got transfered to this part of the state, my vision started suffering since i stopped leaves and fruit.I never observed this eye trouble while i was at FCT (since we eat fruits n leaves almost daily & i neverknew what i was benefittin from this balanced meals untill now)can u recommend any supplements that can help take d place of this foods i am missing ?i am not enjoying this eye game at all.sometimes i would be needing high rays of light to study.
your troubles is most likely caused by ageing. You have attained the age of presbyopia and would be needing glasses and not just good food. Please go for an eye exam so that you can start enjoying this eye game grin

Is anti-UV eyeglass safe for both sun and shade? Or only for screen
photochromic blue cut lenses protects the eyes from the harmful effects of UV and are great for computer users

at some point in our life time, quite a majority of us would be needing glasses especially to see smaller things. It's quite a natural thing that occurs as we age

My Eyes Usually gets itchy and red, especially during the rainy season.. I usually by Zaditen eye drops, or Ketotifen eye drops.. It's a seasonal stuff, but recently I noticed the effect of these eye drops aren't as strong as it used to be. I normally use them maximum 3 weeks and then I'm fine.. I just need better recommendations..

Plateau state but I don't mind wherever the hospital is, as far it's one of the best in Nigeria to do the surgery.

I am an Eye doctor, I discovered through clinical experience that most Patients don't really know about some basic things and problems affecting the eyesn and these has led to simple eye problems being seen as complicated and frightening to most patients and they don't really know how to go about it. There are some eye problems that are hereditary, which requires normal routine eye examinations but due to ignorance most patients tend to lose their sight to eye problems that could have been prevented. I want to use this opportunity to enlighten us and provide solutions to problems affecting the eyes,in line with WHO Vision 2020-Right to sight for all, so all questions concerning the eyes are welcomed

Good day. I developed eye floaters in both eyes lots of them about six months ago. I didn't know the reason why. I had no injury and was perfectly fine. I went to some eye clinics but they gave me eye drops and glasses all to no avail. Pls any help it's really killing my mental health and it's getting worse. I am just 20yrs old and to young to be having such problems.

you really would be needing a thorough Clinical workup. Visit a well equipped clinic. What's the state of your general health? Did the floaters come with a drop in your vision? It isn't really what i can address online. You really should visit a good clinic ASAP

yes it will since it's as a result of the uveitis you are having. When that is resolved, you should be good. All the best

it largely depends on the cause of the floaters.

Good day doctor. I am having lots of floaters form an accident I had almost a year back. The doctor says there is nothing I can do. But I heard that there is laser therapy for it to destroy the floaters. Pls I wanted to inquire where I can get the procedure done in Nigeria and how much.
