Now I think AFDB offered Ote$ that money to Unshackle Transcorp
I don't think this is the case, though one can never know what's going on in these guy's minds.

AFDB's stake was mainly for GEREGU 2 if I'm not mistaking........ Otedola might be strategizing ahead by moving into Transcorp to buy some stakes.

Transcorp Denies Knowledge of Otedola’s Acquisition of 5.5% Stake
https://businesspost.ng/economy/transcorp-denies-knowledge-of-otedolas-acquisition-of-5-5-stake/
We are used to their initial denial.
Also saw Transcorp's mail as per this.......but I think what they were saying was that they've not been formally informed or so.

Anyways I don't think Geregu Power will acquire Geregu 2 before Buhari leaves office, at the moment Tinubu and his boys have eyes on some of these power assets too, hence the recent delay by BPE.

Lol. You may be right too.
Reason I said no one can know what they could be planning behind closed doors. smiley

.....but during the Afrexim purchase, it was specifically for Geregu from the correspondences.

Do you think the stock will rise with this news
Well, no one can boldly say anything o. smiley
The more we look, the less we see .........someone like me can only be following the dictates of Mr. Market.

As at now, the stock is still on demand, anything can happen anytime.....

However, like some ogas said, TRANSCORP is undervalued at CP. It's for the extra patient ones.

Geregu power has been invited to bid for Geregu 2 and may most likely win this.....
Reason he raised funds to acquire it.
Whether it will be finalized before Buhari leaves office or not is another thing.

There are other power plants up for sale aside Geregu 2 nah.

Net impairment charge on other financial assets of 35B (2022) as against 760M (2021).... shocked
Could this be the reason why there was a drop in profit and EPS?

Please how did you go about pushing to get your dividend paid and how long did it take before it was paid ?
I am just getting to realise that the qualification date for Dangote Sugar is March 27th and dividendis was paid today.

I am going to submit my e-dividend mandate for Dangote sugar, however i will like to know if there other ways to push to ensure it is paid.

That's a red flag. Probably why they gave 2.8 to calm shareholders
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Frangel: 6:32pm On Apr 14, 2023
Yes, main reason EPS dropped. The impairment is largely as a result of the Ghana debt crisis.
