The problem is majority of Nigeria fintech are being controlled by China and Indian developers not the owner,in most cases the owner does not even know how to code or anything about coding
Just pay some developers to develop a bogus idea.
In developed world,fintech isn’t about immediate profit,infact in some cases it takes up to 5 years but if you are the owner and do everything by yourself,there is no way you will have problem within the 5 years unlike Nigeria Where the owner may not know anything but get loan to start the business
Anyway let’s thank God he is sincere,he doesn’t run with peoples money.
You have a great point but I disagree to an extent. FINTECH is a business, you don't have to be a programmer to be successful at it.

It's just like saying Dangote shouldn't dabble into petroleum refining business because he isn't a trained Petroleum Engineer.

There is a business aspect of sector where great insights and doggedness is all you need to succeed.

Ha! What did they expect? Trying to run a business based on crypto in Nigeria? What a joke! They should have known better. I bet those idiots wasted their investors' money on stupid sh*t. Now they're crying about unsuccessful fundraising attempts? No one wants to invest in a sinking ship. They should have seen it coming. I hope they learned their lesson and never try to start a business again.

Go and read history of fintechs around the world,they didn’t start it to make profit,it boomed beyond owners control

A lot of startups especially fintechs were only setup as conduit to raise funds for their founders to live large, they are never profitable. The only winner is the founder who keeps diluting his/her shares until they clean out and leave behind a jackass company. Why would any startup need millions of dollars in funding claiming they are building to scale to countries that don't need dem. You never finish for your home country you wan enter Philippine or Mexico or Uruguay ....African company ooo cheesy cheesy
