Maybe in your Office, they have a small cup of water
But in other Offices or most offices toilets, for day to day staff, there is definitely bowl and other things in the Toilet there. Cos that's our habit.
One in make and female toilet. With soap, multiple bowls washed and changed Daily by the cleaners.
Or Atleast some sort of mechanism for carrying water in hand, like bottle water and stuff
You haven't said anything different from what I said.... At the end of the day they end up splattering and splashing the same shit water from their nyansh all over the place in the process of cleaning up... On the toilet seats and on the floor. It's not about the availability of water, it's the habit of messing up the place after use. For them it was normal, for me I considered it dirty and offensive

Washing your nyansh with a cup of water after pooing is a total mess. I saw a lot of that in my office years ago. The purpose is completely defeated.

If you must use water to clean up, do it inside your bathroom at home with plenty of water.

WHY YOU SHOULD STOP USING ONLY TISSUE PAPER TO CLEAN UP AFTER DEFECATING - IT'S A DIRTY HABIT

The use of only tissue paper to clean up after defecating is highly unhygienic. Tissue paper does not and cannot completely remove poo from your bum area no matter how hard you wipe. Tissue paper only removes the major portion of the poo. It moves and spreads the remnants of the poo over your bum area and deposits them with the microbes in the openings in the skin. Some of the conditions that may get aggravated by use of toilet paper include rectal itching, hemorrhoids, anal fissure, fistula, abscess and pilonidal cyst.

Wiping aggressively with tissue paper could create anal fissures, haemorrhoids in the rectum or fissures in the bum area and the fissures created could be infected by the microbes in the feaces. Excessive wiping could cause other health problems like urinary track infections. It has been estimated that there are nearly 100 billion bacteria per gram of wet stool. (The Conversation).

Rose George, a freelance journalist in Yorkshire, the author of The Big Necessity: The Unmentionable World of Human Waste and Why It Matters, told Tonic why using toilet paper doesn’t remove feaces like it should. She said: “I find it rather baffling that millions of people are walking around with dirty anuses while thinking they are clean,”. “Toilet paper moves sh*t, but it doesn’t remove it.”

A simple nasty experiment to show that the use of only tissue paper to clean up after defecating is this: Get a small portion of your poo and place it gently on any part of your arm. Then, try and clean it off your arm using only tissue paper. When you’re done cleaning, try and smell that part of your arm. You may want to try it. No matter how hard you try cleaning the poo off your arm, that part of your arm would still be smelly of the poo. The tissue paper would only move and spread the remnants of the poo over the area and deposit them with the microbes in the openings in the skin.

This is what happens when you wipe only with tissue paper after defecating. Your bum and the surrounding area would smell terribly bad throughout the day. Unfortunately, your bum and the surrounding area is not normally well aerated compared with other parts of the body. The stagnated air in your pant, the remnants of the poo in you bum and the surrounding area and the microbes in the poo would set up chemical reactions under your pant. Some of the contents of the chemical reactions are airborne and they are taken by the air to your reproductive organs.

Reproductive organs should always breathe in fresh air at all times especially the female reproductive organs. The female reproductive organs breathing in contaminated air or airborne microbes are susceptible to infections. This could actually lead to vaginal odour.

Wiping with only tissue paper after defecating has become a culture in many societies around the world such that even the elites in such societies see nothing wrong in the unhygienic act. Dr Phillip Buffington, the chief medical officer of The Urology Group in the US said: “Think about using dry toilet paper. You’re leaving a residue of stool and bacteria, whereas if you’re using a bidet, you’re washing that away,”.

Dr Allen Kamrava, a California-based colorectal and general surgeon, in Healthline said: “As a result, those who wash or use the bidet “are much less likely to have issues with rashes and discomfort and irritation,”. Dr Ekwaro Obuku, president of Uganda Medical Association advocates the use of both toilet paper and water for cleaning.

Much to the surprise of Americans, Dr Evan Goldstein, a rectal surgeon in New York City, told Insider during ButtCon (basically Comic-Con, but with butts) that washing with water is actually the ideal way to clean yourself after using the bathroom for a number of reasons. He explained that washing with water (and soap, specially when it’s a number two!) thoroughly cleans the area of any trace of feaces. Finishing that off with a wipe of tissue paper to dry, leaves our backsides feeling cleaner and fresher after every poop! He explained.

Besides being a better cleaning agent all-around, Dr Evan also states that only wiping your bum using tissue can actually lead to injuries. He explained to Insider that the skin on the anus is quite thin and delicate. On top of that, dry toilet paper can be abrasive. This is why wiping too many times, or any harsh action could lead to painful tears (and tears!) and bleeding.

The ideal way to clean up after defecating is this: Use tissue paper to wipe off the poo in your bum and the surrounding area first. After this, wash thoroughly your bum and the surrounding area with water and soap. Wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap. Then, dry your bum and the surrounding area with tissue paper or a towel.

So, stop using only tissue paper to clean up after defecating. It’s highly unhygienic

Oga you just agree that the toilet in your office is substandard.
I’ve an office too and we have constant water flowing in the toilet, and we (most of the guys using the toilet) understand the importance of perfect hygiene. So everything is perfectly fine with the toilet in my office.
If get posted somewhere and the toilet is substandard I put it up to stand. This is better not just for alone, but for everyone as well. Because I can’t afford to have colleagues who go in and out of toilet without properly cleaning themselves.

Though I agree with you that using water makes you more clean that just using a toilet paper.

But some of your arguments make no sense oga.
I have been to headquarters of companies like Oando, Shell and some banks. And honestly in the rest room there is no provision for you to use running water to clean up after poo.

When you done you go to the separate wash hand and wash and dry your hands.
You don't expect dem to leave a bucket of water in the toilet as some users might mess up the place.

For myself I use water when am home but when am in public places I have to use a tissue and I make sure I wipe very well.

You saying individuals who use toilet paper in public rest rooms are dirty is very wrong bro.

Oga all this crap you typed here actually sounds disgusting to me.
Where else are you supposed to get water from if not from tap?

Oga, I typed crap because we are talking about crap. Abi? grin. On a serious note, do you have tap water faucet in your toilet stall at work? In the mall? I have not seen many like that.

In my own experience, I have not seen plenty toilets outside my home (or hotel) where the water faucet is right inside the toilet stall. What I have seen is people taking plastic water bottles into the toilet stall to clean up. Sometimes the bottle is as small as 500ml. Then you need to start posting reminders for them to remove the plastic bottle from the stall after use. That, to me, is disgusting.

As a principle, the hand that touches my bum doesn't touch anything else until it gets washed. It's easy to wash up, stand up and walk a few steps to the water faucet without touching anything if I was at home. If I was at work or anywhere else, I would have to at least pull my pants up first with the hand that I have not washed (with soap).

Then use water from the tap? Or where do you get it from that makes you uncomfortable to not want to use it? Tap water aside, you can install something called a bidet in your bathroom (whether hand-held or electric). If not, then getting water from the bathroom tap should suffice. I've a bidet installed, but before this I always used water from the taps in the bathroom. So long as it's water, that's all that matters. As for not getting your hands clean, that's what liquid handsoaps are for and I actually love shopping for these. I look for ones that come in pretty bottles and smell really good, so for me they're fun to buy and fancy to look at, lol. You're supposed to wash your hands after using the washroom anyway (whether you use tp, water, or both). You can still get stuff on your hands with just the tp alone that you use. But if you use toilet paper first, then water like I do, then the hands shouldn't be too soiled, if at all, but they still need to be washed, of course. No one is saying to use water right away/not wipe first because that sounds messy and why you probably feel you don't wash your hands properly or that your hands aren't clean. In any case, washing the hands (proper handwashing technique involves lathering and rubbing every surface of the hands like the fingertips and fingernails, and for at least 20 seconds) with handsoap & water after using the washroom is important.

You get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm ajebo that must have pipe-borne water o. I am saying the water must be close enough to allow me not to touch anything before washing my hand the way my OCD will be appeased o.

Just like you mentioned, I can have a bidet in my home but not in the office or market. The soap is also outside the toilet stall in most places outside your own home. And you nailed it when you used the word "too soiled". I don't want to use that not too soiled hand at all until it meets soap.

Anyways, nothing to worry about. We all have our peculiar ways of taking care of business. I only have my crack and the one on my wife to worry about. If people like make dem no shit self.

In Ghana, even the poorest places use Tissue Paper, they don't use water their too, and after using the tissue paper, the put it in a separate bowl not even in the WC.
Even unlike Nigerians who Put it in the Water Closet, and flush the paper with, many Ghanaians -irrespective of rich or Poor- don't flush the toilet paper that has been used, they put it in a Bin & dispose it later or Burn it. Most times they Burn it
Burn what

Please don’t misunderstand me
My assertion is limited to the spaces where I have control like my house and office. In my office for instance where I do not have my own personal toilet, thank God I’m placed well enough to set standards for all that get to use the toilet.
I understand that there are toilets in which the provision of water for cleaning the booty is not made. It actually cost nothing having a simple hand washer (pic attached)installed in such a place. I did that in the toilet of my current office and everything cost less than 6k plus workmanship for the plumber.
If there is one thing every reasonable mind learned during Covid it is that you can’t have a perfect cleaning without water. This I’ve known since my secondary days. As a matter of principle I can’t poop in a toilet that has no provision for me to clean with water, this is how important cleaning up with water is
