That 4-4-2 formation is a recipe for disaster against any good team. It makes our central midfield position extremely lean and porous. Just look how the Portuguese were slicing through our midfield like hot knife through butter. Heck, even Guinea Bissau easily went past our midfield whenever they had the courage to attack.

A 4-4-2 can only work if your two CM/DMs are technically gifted workaholics who can create, run to cover space and make good strong tackles. Anything less than that and you are entering battle with a shield made of glass.

Rohr's biggest victories e.g against Algeria and Cameroon in the WC qualifiers were won with a strong three-man midfield.

Idennaa was only being factual on Ndidi. Nothing more.

And next, The Onyedika who is a mediocre had now dropped back to back top midfield performances but according to you, he isn't worthy of a Super Eagles call up and is (stressing it again) a MEDIOCRE who is being hyped.
