I think I’m the only one who doesn’t want to leave Nigeria lol, if everyone is talking about japa in my mind I would be like what are these ones saying 😏… I don’t even include it in my prayer points. Other countries are fascinating as such but I don’t see myself residing there… I love Nigeria too much. 325 Likes 34 Shares |

Same here. I have travelled out of this country for official purposes but the thought of remaining outside Nigeria never occurred to me. And don't think I'm talking about African countries o, I mean Europe and Asia. I'm used to Nigeria o, things outside Nigeria aren't just okay for me. Religion, food, traditions and the "Everyone for himself" things in Europe don't just appeal to me. Money? I swear I can't abandon my relations in Nigeria just to go search for money. What exactly will the money be used for at the end of the day? Besides, death can come anytime, even while searching for the money. Good living? What does that even mean? Ogbeni, you have to pay for all those good facilities directly or indirectly, nothing is free. So I take life easy, infact, very easy. I'm just okay with my little earning here in Nigeria. At least, I pay my bills comfortably. Life is too short. 400 Likes 29 Shares |

The sea weed is always greener In somebody else's lake You dream about going up there But that is a big mistake Just look at the world around you Right here on the ocean floor Such wonderful things surround you What more is you lookin' for? ~little mermaid You think good life is for everyone? You think people in USA don’t complain about the poor healthcare over there and how it’s expensive without Insurance to get good health care? You think people over there don’t travel abroad to get good medication? You guys are just blind Anywhere you find yourself just have money and peace of mind 40 Likes 4 Shares |

ednut1: Why are you always angry whenever you feel like there are people who are not really so keen in coming abroad? Anytime you see any information that you feel look like somebody isn't trying to appreciate the level of smartness it took you guys to go abroad, you'll get angry. I know that feelings. Is like asking a Tesla user what Kind of car he drives when you can see it's a Tesla. He'll get offended you don't even recognize he drives a Tesla 129 Likes 4 Shares |

ednut1: Where do they pay taxes in Nigeria? Who pay taxes in Nigeria? Usually in the US, you see taxes you pay on everything you buy. Even if you buy a $1 tomato at Walmart, you'll see the tax added to your receipt. .if you earn $CAD50k in Canada, $CAD18K will probably go to taxes. Is this how it is in Naija? I believe that if nigerian don't get everything for free but rather spend the way they spend in abroad, Nigeria go better. With the exception of those working federal, State, local government and some private organization, who are the ones paying taxes in Nigeria? Nigerians don't even pay for electricity. Tadadobe:personal income tax for workers in Nigeria is about 20 to 25%. People selling in the market or shops pay daily levy, monthly or annual levy to local govt. agbero fees is also tax. Factored into the cost of the tfare. You bring food from north with truck you pay various levies and taxes on the road. The woman hawking pure water , keke driver, etc pay taxes daily. The guy selling meat, electrician, welder etc pay members levy. If dem born you well no pay if you wont chop beating. You are into business some contracts require your tax clearance, many also do withholding tax on contract amount. If you buy food in mr Biggs you will see VAT on the receipt. The difference is taxes are collected informally here. MR Tinubu and his alpha beta will regularize them just wait and see. With all the taxes what is the common man benefiting Mc oluomo for example is using agbero fees to train his kids abroad and also sleep with Hollywood actresses. The last time i was in Nigeria the car i drove got damage and battered as road no good even in front of a LGA secretariat road was bad. Alot of people are not paying taxes abroad too. They incorporate a company and charge expenses to it and pay little or no tax. 63 Likes 10 Shares |
