emmanuelewumi: We can't overemphasize the role of good debt in multiply our wealth and diversification. Imagine the case of a trader with a portfolio of about N15 million, which he pledged as collateral for a loan of N10 million at 24%. He used the loan to import goods that will be in high demand in December. If he got the loan in June to import the goods and was able to sell by December to make N14 million. He would only have to pay back N11.2 million back to the finance house or bank pocketing about N2.8 million as profit, yet his portfolio might generate another dividend income of about N1.5 million. He did not have to sell his investments in order to raise funds for his business, this scenario is only possible for someone who has the knowledge and professional pedigree of the business ooo. If not just use the little funds you have be it 500k or N1 million 14 Likes 2 Shares |

The case of the man whose rent was just increased is a wake up call to Stock Market investors to be diversified and create predictable passive income from rents, coupons, dividends, royalties etc. Build a house before the age of 50, even if you don't live in the house. If you don't like real estate or house ownership by age 50 your investment income should be at least thrice your rent and the utility bills on the accommodation. My opinion 16 Likes 3 Shares |

As a matter of fact, government should do something about the housing crisis. I am of the opinion that anyone who can comfortable pay his rent should be able to buy similar housing unit My definition of comfortably pay his rent, is your rent is 20% or less of your annual household income Government should give incentives to entrepreneurs who can build 1000 housing units and above per annum 1 Like |

emmanuelewumi:I have been following you boss and your inputs here are apt. The real estate sector in Nigeria still remain untapped. Increasing population and over population in Lagos, low government policy to solving the housing needs makes it good environment for investment. The mortgage banks and accessibility of funds should be made easy for citizens especially civil servants. Here is Port Harcourt, Sun City Garden where we construct for is making huge in road. 1 Like |

edwardaigb:Thank God for you oh. Moving into personal house for Abuja no easy again because of inflated cost of land and building materials. The cheapest 3Bedroom semi-detached Duplex in an Estate within the satellite towns here na around 28Million naira for semi-finish/Carcass and 35Million for Basic finish. How can a civil servant on minimum wage go fit afford one. |

Lion123: This bad Q1 result can slow the price climb . Topline Revenue dropped instead of the increase of prior quarters, while expenses increased. Leading to bottom line profit cut in half. Room for those acquiring major stakes to ramp up more shares cheaply or what. Let's see what Mr Market will do. |

Harvestock01: What are the likely priorities for the incoming government to spur economic growth? What companies are best positioned as beneficiaries from the renewed focus in each sector? The answer to this and many other questions would provide a good indicator of places for investors to take positions before the trains get to the station. 1 Like |
