Lmao. Chicken change for Murdoch.

What's Murdoch networth (liquid and illiquid) got to do with a publicly listed company. I think say you do MBA

Fox Cash on hand is $5.2bln. These guys just took 15% of their cash and write off the equivalent of 75% of their annual profits. In any setting, no company will want to take such a write down relative to their Net Asset position

Fox paid them some chicken change to get the bags off their back 😂😂 a settlement means Fox is still technically not guilty of anything 😂😂

Btw what about your beloved CNN that made a teenager a multimillionaire? 😂😂

How much did CNN settle Sandmann? We are not here for Mama Ijebu talks

Though not publicly listed, Newsmax revenue is about $100m yearly. Let's assume a 30% profit margin for them, putting their profit at $30m, and not much more in retained earnings

Any judgement even 1/5th of the Fox size will put them out of business. Same goes for OANN

Of course the cowards begged for it not to be officially disclosed. But he hinted on a podcast that it was in the range of “a few hundred millions”

Mama Ijebu talks

You don't know the amount and even if it's $100m, comparatively speaking CNNs parent company has 5 times as much equity as Fox's.

Fox just gave away 7% of their equity and 15% of their cash on hand

If Sandmann even got $100m, that's 0.2% of Warner Bros equity

I brought up Murdochs net worth to tell you that a single individual associated with the company could have conveniently paid that settlement without hassle tankless of the whole corporation itself. You see now say na you no go school. Celebrating peanuts settlement 😂😂

Settlements are common in the corporate world bro. Most big corporations will gladly pay a few millions to end a nagging court case and spare the PR damage it could cause. It’s not an admission of guilt or an indication that they couldn’t have won the case if it went to trial. It simply means they just didn’t want to deal with the stress. If you did MBA yourself maybe you would know this.

Why would Murdoch pay fine for a publicly listed company? Your MBA obviously never taught you to distinguish between publicly owned corporations and individuals. Thinking like a Ariaria trader

And if you know anything about wealth, you will know Murdoch does not have anything close to $800m sitting in cash.

How will he get 100m form CNN when he got $250m form Wpo? You see you are daft. CNN was the main defendant in that case not WaPo. He got nothing less than $700m from them.

Who told you Sandman got $250m from WaPo. $250m was his claim, and it was settled out of court, for definitely a much lesser fee that won't smell $100m. $250m can drive Washington Post into bankruptcy. The whole company is worth around that amount, talkless of having that amount in cash.

You see how a simple google search has exposed your illiteracy? You said Warner Bros is worth 5 times as much as Fox Corp? Pls go back to school bro. You obviously don’t even have basic mathematical skills.

Now we definitely know you got your MBA under Bridge.

I said Warner equity is 5 times that of Fox

Warner equity of $48b Vs Fox of $11bln below

Learn the difference between marketcap and equity

Equity is Assets minus liabilities. That is what the corporation has at its disposal to pay off settlements. Dominion just wiped off 7% of Fox's balance sheet

I like how you’re not even arguing with the fact that the networks you worship had to settle with a teenager because of their garbage journalism and slanderous lies against him. Now you’re only arguing about the amount 😂😂 see why no one believes you liberals when you talk about “principles”?

Facts is numbers, you don't have numbers for Sandmanns settlement, and even the highest number you can think of ($100m) is only 0.2% of Warners equity ($48bln). Dominion just wiped off 7% of Fox's equity. Apples and Oranges

Are you some kind of fool or something? Never mind your highly disputable screenshots with no source or proper comparative figures, So Assets regardless of liability cannot be converted to cash? Your useless father obviously couldn’t afford to even send you for a Bsc.

Getting aggressive won't hide your schoolboy interpretation of equity

Let me break it down for you.

If you have assets of $100m and liabilities of $50m, your equity is $50m

If a judge awards me a $60m judgement against you, you are now technically insolvent as that puts you in a -$10m position.

Your marketcap is secondary and only reflects what shareholders trade amongst themselves. You can have marketcap of billions and go insolvent on your balance sheet and that's the end of you like Lehman Bros, Bear Stearns and co

That's why anyone with sense or even completed one MBA module will look at the impact of the judgement on the company in the order of:

(A.) Cash position (whether they can pay immediately)

(B.) Net Current Asset position (whether they can settle within a year without borrowing )

and finally

(C.) Equity position (whether they are solvent)

Its obvious you don't know the components of a balance sheet and are talking above your station

Right. And that 7% represents just one settlement. Smartmatic is next up to bat. And this settlement should be the floor.
