rowon: Every year spent on a legitimate Skilled worker (aka tier-2) visa will count towards your 5-year ILR route…. Even if you change sponsors 20, times. Infact, if you switch to Global Talent (Sciences) visa right now, the two years already spent in care will count, and you are ready for ILR next year. (3 years pere). 2 Likes |

Hi guys. I am looking to make new friends (ladies or unmarried male). It’s really lonely here. I am a 27 years old lady and just need someone to talk to occasionally. If you are career-oriented, that’s a plus. Feel the same way? Please send an email. So, I got way more messages than I bargained for. I have decided I am no longer lonely and thank you for reaching out. 12 Likes |

Elders of Nairaland UK Branch Long story short Naso dem say its better to convert from tier4 to 2 We did the needful as usual via care support work and of course not free. Started work in December, was given sponsorship in Jan after a month, applied in Feb ending and got our brp. Brethren I discovered oga Don score goal, we didn't plan for it, from calculations na that time way it snowed heavily and and and and... We are 5weeks preg, informed MD my fellow naija but instead got threatened that sponsorship will be withdrawn because we concealed the preg to collect COS. We should have halt the COS processing. Is this how it works here? I still do not understand, I should have aborted? coz of work? Or the law restricts me from taking in. He said, he will speak to his lawyer and that he doesn't want to involve the home office (home office sabi I am married nah, dem get our data) that do we know what it means if he involves them? That we should seat to discuss and negotiate way forward. (I don't know what he wants to propose) I even accepted to forfeit maternity pay (though he no dey pay self) and the rest of it infact I am still willing, eager and strong enough to continue working until about 8th month or even more...he now wants to cancel my shifts... this Ukay way bills yakpa... Great elders abeg make una choke mouth for the matter, what una advise make I do also I hearsay gomenti dey give palliatives for preg women for some months...how do I go about it or is it one of the public fund? I no wan hear pim when it's time for ILR Una thank you in advance |

rinzylee: You don't have to keep the money in the account. You can literally pay it in and send it back out in the same minute. You'll get the money. |

Noworries11: Record your conversations with this person and keep them. What he's doing is illegal. There's absolutely nothing for him to report you to HO about. That being said, he has control over your shifts and could deny you shifts, which would be illegal, but difficult to prove. If I were you, I'd try the conciliatory approach just because that's always better, but keep it in your mind that you might need to explore 'legal steps', hence the recordings. Someone has sent a link to a resource you should find useful if it comes to that. 3 Likes |

Noworries11: I normally don't mention preggy until after 5 months or really showing so I don't understand why rush to say this especially at 5 weeks . That been said.... what he doing is actually discrimination but to provide am is another thing . He can quickly sack you and use another reason so thread carefully. I don't think it's right to record someone without their permission 7 Likes |
