Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has said there was a deliberate attempt by “powers that be” to deny Ndigbo the opportunity of superintending over the affairs of Nigeria.

There was a deliberate attempt by powers that be to deny Ndigbo the opportunity to superintend over the affairs of the country”, Ikpeazu said.

The Governor who made the remark when he hosted the leadership of Nzuko Umunna, a pan-Igbo political organization, in his Umuobiakwa palatial country home, charged Ndigbo to be united as a people and collectively advance the cause of the people.

Gov. Ikpeazu said that time had come for Ndigbo to become intentional about their strategic disposition in Nigeria.

Ikpeazu recalled that Ndigbo had made immense contributions to national development as they are found in every part of Nigeria but regretted that the conspiracy around the Igbos was very grave.

He made a case for Ndigbo “to leverage on their unity, compromise and understanding to craft and construct a pathway towards their political liberation”.

According to a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Onyebuchi Ememanka, the time has come for Ndigbo to be united against their common enemy instead of being divided against themselves.

“Ndigbo should not spend time-fighting themselves but rather forge a common front for their future in Nigeria”, Ikpeazu said.

The Governor further said there was a need for Ndigbo to reflect on their relationship with other ethnic groups in the country.

He advised Ndigbo to expand conversations around their political survival with a view to strengthening their relationship with other ethnic groups across the country.

Ikpeazu who failed his bid to go to the Senate after losing to the incumbent Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe pledged his unflinching support for Nzuko Umunna.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of the delegation, Nze Ozichukwu Chukwu said their visit to the Governor was to further discuss with him on the way forward for Ndigbo.

He said it was time for Ndigbo to come together and speak as one people.

The former National Vice Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South East, explained that “Nzuko Umunna is a political but not partisan organisation”.

He lauded Ikpeazu for his courage to congratulate the Abia Governor-elect, Dr Alex Otti, on his victory as well as for urging other candidates not to distract him with court litigations.

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Iyom Josephine Anenih, was also on the delegation.

This is nothing but the truth. Wether Nigerians like it or not, an Igbo Presidency is the only way forward for Nigeria to witness a 360° turn around. Wether igbos rule Nigeria or not, they have absolutely nothing to lose and will continue to remain above other region in education, business, wealthy and lot more.

Igbo knw more about Nigerians than the patriotic Nigerians

Since 2015 Igbo believe that Buhari would sideline TINUBU😂
After 2019 election, Igbo believed that Buhari will never hand over power to Tinubu 😂
Toward the 2023 election Igbo come to realize that Hausa/Fulani would never leave their own and vote for SW 😂
Then suddenly Igbo believe the New Naira policies is a measure to stop Asiwaju from vote buying therefore enhancing Atiku and Obituary Chances of winning 🤣
Then Igbo started the narration that the Abeokuta burstup is a great set back for Asiwaju bcs cabals are not happy with him 😂
Then Igbo taught us that Amaechi or Jonathan are the choice of Buhari 😂🤣
Then the story changed that El-Rufai and Ganduje are secretly working for Atiku but just deceiving Asiwaju 🤣😂😀
Then the election came and gone 😀😂

Then they never realized that a man who God has blessed there is no magnitude of enemies or propagandas that can stop him

Tell your people to stop politics of bitterness and Nzogbu Nzogbu politics

Your people have broken quite lots of bridges against other Nigerians with insult and attack physically as well as on cyberspace thinking only SS is their only ally that can guarantee election victory for them

You mean Igbos failed in PDP despite the unalloyed support over the years?

Or you were expecting a miracle in APC that Igbos have rejected over time?

Not that I don't approve of Igbo Presidency, but the bolden is wrong.

The only way Nigeria can witness 360° turn around is by running an all inclusive govt.
not by any one tribe.

Deliberate attempt by who? We are in a democracy where whoever gets the most votes rule. We are also multi ethnic so you have to reach out to groups outside yours

Who rules Nigeria is determined by how much you are able to convince voters all over Nigeria of different ethnicity to support your ambition. Any candidate with the most votes become president

There are different strategies to achieve that in a multi ethnic society

Some do it by building bridges, Others do it by insulting people to vote them

You can spend the next 8yrs either building bridges and reaching out to ethnic groups outside yours, or you can spend the next 8yrs insulting them

The results await you in 2031

There's no power that be to anywhere. These people should stop fooling themselves with that phrase because it doesn't exist in Nigeria. In fact, Ikpeazu is a disgrace to Ndi Igbo.

Wike and Atiku used money to bully Peter Obi out of PDP, but Ikpeazu kept following Wike like a lackey (boy-boy), instead of speaking against Wike. Today, he has turned around to start talking nonsense.

Again, there's no powers that be. Nigeria's leadership is all about negotiation, building bridges, bribing powerful people, running massive campaigns across the country, and buying votes or winning people's votes. Nigeria is not a fair country - nobody hands leadership to anyone on a silver platte; you must fight for it.

You mean deliberate attempt by your party PDP to deny igbo an opportunity. Always add 'in PDP' to your statements so u dont try to deceive.

Everyone knows PDP has been the igbo party since 1999 and you all named APC as the evil party since it was formed in 2014 and never gave them your votes, only your hate.

Igbo people voted for Yoruba man Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003. They voted for Yar adua, northerner in 2007. They voted for Goodluck Jonathan, Ijaw southsouth in 2011 and 2015. They voted for Atiku, northerner in 2019.

It is only when they voted for someone from their tribe for the first time that is now tag nzogbu nzogbu politics.
Igbophobia is the reason most of you won't vote a candidate from southeast.

Build bridge meaning let your people get killed by fulani but you can't say anything because you want to be president. Meanwhile the northerners would never take that from the south.

Isn't that cowardice
