".....Bola Tinubu helped Alpha Condé win the presidential elections of October 11, 2015. He convinced Alpha Condé not to postpone the elections despite the opposition's request.

For the record, Alpha Condé went to Nigeria in May 2015 to attend the inauguration of Muhammadu Buhari. It was there that he met Tinubu to learn more about Nigeria's political and electoral experience. In June 2015, Tinubu traveled to Conakry to assess the country's political situation and the direction of presidential campaigns.

He then moved to Conakry with a planning team to join Alpha Condé's campaign team. The date of issue of his Guinean diplomatic passport coincides with the same period. This, to facilitate his work in Conakry and for “good and loyal service”.

..............It should already be pointed out that having a diplomatic passport is not synonymous with dual nationality and since he had come at the request of President Alpha Condé, we can deduce that he was there for a "mission diplomatic”.

Aged 70, Chief Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu was announced winner of the Nigerian presidential election on February 25, 2023. The inauguration is scheduled for next May, but a major obstacle could prevent him from becoming president of the Republic.

A capture of his Guinean passport was broadcast by Guinean and Nigerian media. Bola Tinubu has a "Guinean diplomatic" passport which would have been issued to him through his friend Alpha Condé, during the reign of the latter.

However, the Nigerian Constitution prohibits presidential candidates from holding any nationality other than Nigerian. For Nigerians, the failure of Mr. Tinubu to disclose this information is a violation of the Constitution of Nigeria and a betrayal of the trust of the Nigerian people. It was Earl Chukwu Ebuka Ogbodo Eze, a Nigerian activist who discovered the pot of roses, before tweeting: "The revelation that Mr. Tinubu, the declared president-elect of INEC holds dual nationality with Guinea Conakry, who he never disclosed, raises significant concerns about his eligibility for the sacred office of president. This is not only a violation of the Nigerian constitution but also a betrayal of the trust of the Nigerian people,” reports a Nigerian media source.

Tinubu has been a private citizen for the last 15 to 20 years. The DOJ and Interpol have robust enough investigive practices to have tied drug deals to the man within that period. There is a limit to how careful you can be.

But it is also conspiracy theory for me because Tinubu allegedly already has cut from alphabeta, and more importantly as we discussed earlier brought ccecc to Nigeria. I also think he brought hi-tech. Once you have backed a construction company executing major projects, you are going to by raking in the cash hand over fist, ganodollar style.

Effectively he has achieved what stringer Bell was trying to do in the wire - go legit.

We don't need a visa to enter guinea so what good would a passport do for Tinubu? As far as I know the man does not speak French so he would stick out.

Bros, wait fess! In simple English what do u make funds in Tinubu's account being linked with drug deal?

Do u think the whole news itself is hoax or that Tinubu's "clean" $460k was unjustly taken away from him ?

The reason why I'm asking is I want to know what exactly u think about the whole saga.(NB: I'm not talking about the politicking/politicizing of the whole thing, I'm curious to know what u think gan gan)

Na normal thing for Naija. If you notice, most of our heads of state/presidents were people who never initially wanted to be in that position, from Gowon - GEJ. The only notable exceptions are IBB, Abacha, Buhari, and Tinubu.

I think the ruling cabal always view people who are aggressive with becoming president with suspicion, thinking that such individuals would spoil the party for the cabal.

You're one neutral, fence-sitter I can easily point to here, so I am calling you out/drawing your attention to this. If there are others of your kind, please, kindly mention them and y'all should come and condemn this as the arbiters of right and peaceful political behaviours.

Please, condemn in the strongest of terms o and in a loud voice.

Not for once, once, has Obi insulted her father publicly, even Atiku and his camp, who have thrown small small jabs as is expected of their politics style, haven't gone this low. But coming from his DAUGHTER? What temerity? Like on what grounds?

Will Peter Obi's daughter come out to insult the other two like this and it would have not been a trending matter? undecided

I can't even blame Atiku's children like that sef, it was clear they were actively propping Atiku to run hoping to have their lives settled once he becomes president.

During the presidential campaigns, one bloke on Twitter was releasing video and audio recordings of his conversations with Atiku's children where they were talking about how their father winning the presidency would make their lives soft...one of Atiku's sons even specifically said he wan japa and he doesn't have the kind of money he needs to relocate. Na there I understand say some certain levels dey for this japa parole cheesy. The guy said to relocate, he'd need like up to 7 personal staffs to see to the needs of him and his family...imagine the sort of money you need steal to have 7 staffs in your employ in Dubai or some other first-world country, then you'd start to see why the loss will make some of them get this unhinged.

There is so much to unpack here.

First, I'd appreciate it if you went through this article:

https://www.thecable.ng/the-trouble-with-Igbos-sit-at-home/amp

Now this your argument is just like comparing misandry to misogyny in a sense (sorry, but not sorry; I can't help myself being a woman and also finding feminine analogies in issues).

With the exception of Boko Haram, the other two you listed started as LEGITIMATE causes. What legitimate cause does BH and Yoruba Ronuians have?

It's one thing for something to start as a reasonable response to a worthwhile cause, etc., it's another thing for something to start literally out of thin air, because of a "fear" of domination. Boko boys fear women being educated in Sharia lands and Yoruba people are fearing for their jobs being taken over by Igbo people, what is that?

But many many years before, there are legit and documented cases of gross environmental and human abuses by the FG in the Niger Delta. The Igbos too have always been politically repressed, and there have been subtle strains of biases against them. "Ah, na Omo Igbo." "I can't rent my house to an Igbo." "These Igbo people sef."

Can you tell me the valid grounds for these prejudices?

It's baseless. Just like men fear that women's liberation will make them lose their power or topple them from their position.

Jobs are in a different position all together, and should be based on merit and competency, not nepotism and ethnicity. Anybody who is qualified for it should get it, simple.

The sit-at-home order was also a once-in-a-year thing, as a commemoration of fallen Igbo soldiers, and I think they do not force other ethnicities to participate in them, do they?

Now, I am not justifying the menace and blood-letting everything have all spiralled into.

I have never been against self-determination. If anybody wants to, they should be free to, but not at the expense of denigrate another ethnicity.

So I support the original IPOB idea (any sensible person should because it is not a crime in and of itself), not what it has turned into, so technically, me and many others are not pro-IPOB (as we know it now).

We can call out different wrongs at the same time? IPOB mayhem, Avengers militancy, BH carnage, and YR stupeedity.

We're literally not the same set of people. Even the IPOBians have disassociated themselves from Obi and Nigeria. So any Igbo/Obidient person you see calling out the silliness of Yoruba Ronu diatribes, is doing so as a Nigerian, not because they used to support IPOB.

Yes, all of it is nonsense, but what's your own point saying it's their right??

There's levels to this soft life thing, Atiku has over 30 children, his kids will always enjoy soft life, that's a given, but is the money on ground available for them to have up to 7 staffs in employ in Dubai or any other first world country? I don't know...take note, I'm not giving my personal opinion, there were audio and video tapes released where his kids were expressing these desires of theirs.

IMHO, I think his kids saw the presidency thing as the final cashout that would guarantee ultra-soft life in perpetuity.
