I've met and interacted with single guys and ladies on this platform who are very good for marriage.

What some silly guys and ladies post here does not define the real world. Most of those posting thrash about their opposite gender are kids with phones. But most of them are cob webs tied to the foot of an elephant when it comes to practicing what they preach here on this platform.

I can be a totally normal person and choose to live with a pet. What difference does it make keeping an animal since alot of people behaving like animals these days. Most people are in a marriages or relationships today are in it for one thing they stand to gain. There's no such thing as unconditional love with humans. I'm not judging. These traits can be easily identified in women if you look observe closely.theres only one woman I've ever really known who stood out and was different but alas, It still came with some conditions.

It is because Nairaland is like a masked platform.
In a masked platform, there is high tendency of having fake users.
You hardly know who u are talking to/with.
You don't see there pics, their videos or hear their voices.
In this kind of situation, it very hard to get attracted to anyone.
Even the one you like his or her post may turn out not having other physical attributes you desires in your dream partner.

In other social media, you sees the person you are reading his/her posts. You match his/her write ups with his/her physical appearance and decide whether to shoot ur shot or not.

In Nairaland, you have so many trolls cos they believe no one knows who they are. So you hardly sees anything that will move you to want to have more link to that person.

Finally, the platform is structured in a way that u finds it difficult to have a direct communication with someone you picked interest in.
You have to send a mail which a Moderator will intercept and a message will be sent to the recipient about someone trying to send him/he a message. The recipient will accept it before the email will be delivered. So many users here do not even check their emails. So your friend request may not even be seen by the person u sent it to.

You made valid points and on the pics part, you'll hardly see a guy post his pic on his dp, ladies do better on this part. It's a big turn off responding to someone you don't know what they look like or at least crop or cover your face. I'm guilty of the last one, Infact I don't even know what goes on in my mail
